I was talking about contemporary times, though over the years it's been true as well. Remember in Laker's time they played on uncovered pitches and he came into his own on them. Ditto Underwood who was a left armer.

Where is Saqlain now? His light didn't burn for long enough and like Harbhajan took advantage of some dusty sub-continent pitches. Harbhajan btw goes for plenty when conditions don't favour and has mainly run through sides when they have been propitious.
