Dont give them credit for holding on.

Today was UNACCEPTABLE. We simply should have beaten a team coming off a shorter break and missing 2 players from the first quarter.

Just not good enough, I'm devastated because I know, honestly, that we are simply not as good as we should be.

Dont we need to see a harder line from Ratten? Dont we need to see him at the presser saying "nope. not good enough. we should have ran over them in the last...im NOT happy"

I am not a Ratten basher, never have been. I actually think he has done a good job with our list. But now is the time to get tough and stamp out mediocrity.

Nah we did well, all credit to the lads another fine effort, backs to the wall stuff from us.

Settle down, Collins needs a crack, I dont think he coached poorly today. Maybe wouldnt have had Walker as the sub, but other than that he was ok.

Its more the attitude. I want to see more fire and brimstone. More of a uncompromising style.

I'm sure the message delivered to the players will be different to the message delivered to the media. Relax.
 
It isn't a coach's job to find comforting words to calm the hysterics following a poor game.

Only thing that matters is the words and work done behind closed doors.
 
Although Simmo and Garlett made costly errors late in the game, they should should not feel they have let the team down.

It was the useless efforts of Hampson and Collins which lost us the game today. Passengers.

And as for Ratten, I am a huge cynic of he's, and seriously believe the club will be better off when he is moved on.

The club won't do that they honor the season out.Their would have to be major turmoil with players and coach.Selections disagreements and us struggling in the bottom 6 for a assistant to coach out the remaining year.

I actually think the club won't really care as long we make the 8 and just be mediocre and hope with luck we snatch a win as the bigger picture will be 2012 and 2013.

I'm not sure if Paul Roos want's to coach again but I've noticed his taken a interest in our list.He just might be accessing the seniors players who he like to remain on the list and young players with future.

Our structures are poor and skills are not up to scratch. Carazzo was Italian for turnover again.

A test for Ratten's worth as a coach is simple. Take Judd out of the side and see how he coaches.

Shattered that we didnt win. A bit of composure in the last few minutes and we would have had a great win on the board but on the other hand, we didnt lose either!
Garlett should've taken a set shot. Waite should've gone forward with two minutes remaining but started chipping it around. Simmo under no pressure usually wouldn't kick it out on the full. Composure my friends is what our boys need. Coulda/shoulda won but those stinking bummers were really pressing hard in that last quarter.
All is not lost and I still think top 4 is well within reach by years end. Ratten bashers need to get a grip and see how the year pans out rather than dooming him after 4 rounds.
 
Unfortunatly for collins... i think McLean has just found his way into the side, for sure collins is gone for either lucas, ellard or mclean.

Hampson will keep his spot as a backup ruckman, simply cause we need it.

Henderson will go back to resies to try find more form - seemed out of sorts. Thornton should come back in.

Eddie cant be dropped because simply who is a small foward in the reserves we can swap him for? you cant.... so he will keep his spot.. AND I HOPE HE FINDS FORM!
 
Thing is with theses forums... every1 is quick to jump on Rattens back.. but wen we win 'well coached to good etc etc' we have got more depth this year then any other year... its time we start using it dropping players that deserved to be dropped to make them fight for their position!

Lucas was shite in his first hit out.

Houlihan isn't even playing VFL.

Collins was BOG in his VFL game and deserved to come in. Not up to it ATM but Ratten is hardly to know how he transitions between the two leagues.

Not every spud is spuds!
 
No panic from me here at all.

Collins will get dropped for Ellard/Mclean.

Some other average players (Hampson, Hendo) but we have plenty of depth to come back into the side (Kruezer, Ellard, Mclean, Thornton, Houlihan, Lucas).

Can the ferals relax.... sheesh.
 
Its just a presser...who cares?

Sheedy made a living out of talking shit at these things. Mick isnt too far behind

Its what he says behind closed doors that counts
