The way we moved the ball and played keepings off they didn't have to make too many decisions.

Watched the GWS v Dogs yesterday. Up until the 28/29 minute mark of the 2nd quarter GWS had had 1 free kick. I kid you not

I think we had a few soft frees for a change. But we also got the frees we should get that i think we never get - all the in the backs that Cunners should normally get every week for example. All the little holds on Browny were paid. Well at least 2 or 3 ... enough to stop it.

I think the AFL might have told the umps that their vendetta against the club has to stop. That the coach that called them out is gone and its becoming a public issue. I dunno for sure but its my hunch

I thought they let a few go in the first few minutes when the ball was circulating in our forward line, but really, you'd hope that those minor niggling things would be overlooked every week (you know, the ones scooter was usually pinged for) and the umps concern stayed focused on the more serious infringements.

But overall, if the weekend was the benchmark for umpiring then (a) we as a football community wouldn't be complaining, and (b) we as a football club might be playing finals (caveat: other teams were shafted this season as well so that would need to be taken into account).

One thing's for certain, the bears would be lower than they are.

How good was it to not have Chamberlain, Margettes, Fisher etc. Invisible umpires means that they did their job.

Not North Melbourne-related, but when reading out a listener’s text about Stephenson, which contained certain words written in capital letters, Gerard Whately said that he had tried to read those words with ‘emFARsis’. I have never heard the word, ‘emphasis’ pronounced like that before.
