ummmm what?

Dunno what you mean by the second bit, but Footscray also go back to back, we get them straight after a game and I can't see GWS troubling an established team.

So we did alright by the scheduling. Depends if we're taking it seriously though.

I think TD means where last year Team 'A' could make unlimited changes between games whereas Team 'B' could only make 3. Being A or B depends on whether or not your 2nd game was immediately after your first.

They would surely make the weakest team the first team then wouldn't they? Although off the top of my head Carlton were the first team last year despite Richmond being the obvious weak one in the group.

You would've thought so.
The teams that play 1st and 3rd are Richmond, GWS, WCE, StK, GCS & Port.

I guess 5 of those are the weakest in their respective group IMHO.
The exception I see is WCE. They play v Freo & Ess. Ess would have to be considered the weakest- especially seeing as it over there too.

I was hoping we'd get "back to back" games, it makes it more like a real practice match, just with two different opponents per half of football.

I reckon the threat of injury might increase also if you play a half, then have to sit around for over an hour to wait for the second game.

This way we now have 3 virtual full practice matches (round 2 vs Melbourne, rd 3 vs Adelaide).:)

The squads are pretty big and the games are short, I don't know how many more players you'd want to play in 1 round anyway? Won't it be something like 18 + 6 bench + 2 subs and then 3 changes?

I think it's more a case of why have the rule at all. It should be as level a playing field as possible - whether it is a .0000001% advantage or a substantial one.

exactly right, back to back is a better draw

Well, no offense to GWS but I don't think we need the advantage when we play them. The only thing it might effect is the margin, but even then I'm not sure an extra couple of changes would make any difference.

Agree 100%. It may even cost us points! ;)

Easy first round for us :thumbsu:

Will be two easy wins. Will be frightening when we play GWS. They'll be lucky to even score.

yeh they wont score, but it will be even more of a massacre when we play them during the home and away season.
think like the port v us game at aami last year, but even more raping:thumbsu:

Do you think that Bucks will coach all games in the pre-season, or will the coaches rotate again?

Different situation this year compared to previous seasons.

I would think Bucks would coach in his 1st Pre-Season.

Though be intresting to get Rocket to coach the 1st game vs Dogs
