Hmm... Nah it won't be a thrashing but we should win, we need to start well otherwise it's catch up, and in,y a 6 day break, get on top of them early

If we bring our effort and intensity like we did last week then we should come away with the 4 points. I don't think Bolton will allow them to get ahead of themselves.

- because over the last two weeks Brisbane have been able to string together 3 good quarters against good sides..to me it means they are on the improve - from a really really poor start. this is a big game for them - irrespective of their record to date.
If we can play as well as last week - we win pretty well, if not ( 6 day break etc) it will be an each way bet....fingers crossed.

Efforts like last week can hurt you the following week, if you get too excited about it. Tipping that won't happen so it may simply be a case of how sore the players are.

Like others I'm concerned I can't help but think about the physical toll willing ourselves past port too and the performance we had against North the following week.
Brisbane aren't as good as north but to me that's a recent example of being affected the week after a strong performance

Doesn't take much. We lose our skipper. They get theirs back. Some decent names on the team sheet. We don't bring the pressure game and we lose.

Glad to see his performances at this level but really amusing their seems to be opinion he's never been at this level before .

True to a point, but last year was a disaster before it began.
Only the captain, Cripps, Bell and a couple of others were able to keep their heads above the crap that abounded our club.
We finally seem to have an environment where players can thrive in and Gibbs has thrived.

-playing a lesser side, how will our mentally cope with when we are the hunted
-Murph out, Rocky in
-No murph will mean they might put extra time into Gibbs
-Cripps, kreuzer, Casbuolt & possibly others carrying a injuries
-Gorringe, just don't have confidence in him yet

Gibbs has been coasting for quite some time. Very happy he has found his fourth gear, I reckon he has a fifth as well.

I would like to replay the North game with Kreuzer and Casboult, not having a ruckman didn't help. Goldstein dominated us in that game. Not making excuses though, we have shown in other games the effort we can put in

When I say some time, I guess I mean the last 12 months. I'll never forget his performance in Micks's record breaking game, was just awful. But yes he was great in 2014 and I remember he was pretty damn good in 2011 as well.

Our frustration with Gibbs is that we knew he could be better but the above results don't exactly reflect someone in 'coasting' mode.
Really? His form over the past 5 weeks suggests otherwise. Each to their own.
