With GAJ out this thread actually has some use :p

Matches this week -

WB v Coll
Syd v Ess
Carl v Rich
BL v Gee
Ade v Freo
Haw v NM
Mel v PA
WC v Stk

Geez... I went Cox for the two weeks Gablett was out earlier, but with him coming back off an injury I'm a lot less confident. Judd or Bartel, with Judd likely to win because he's playing Richmond.

Same but am going with Bartel as he wont get a tag whereas Jackson will be shadowing Judd. Also still have nightmares about the round where I made Judd captain and he got 2 touches in the 1st quarter

Lol

Who are better at shutting down star midfielders - West Coast or Brisbane?

I will pick either Bartel or Montagna based on your responses.

I like Bartel for the simple fact that without GAJ and Stevie J there will be more points available to him. Is my logic flawed?

It could mean it's first tag...LOL behind Hogan...

Hey don't knock it mate:D. It means I will be likely taking Hogan off the bench and booting Buddy that spud onto the emergency list. Hogan should get plenty of opportunities this week.

For captains for me it's either Bartell or Dal. Will likely go Dal as Bartell will not have it as easy with Ablett out.

If I had anyone on my bench playing I might have done the same with Spudly...

Dal's my captain this week- unless there are a few late withdrawals we're pretty much unchanged, so he'll be able to grab plenty of the ball and run around in those lovely wide open Subiaco spaces. If I had Hayes or Montagna there might have been a bit more debate. Of course there is Roo- he might have a fun old time over there as well...
Arrgh! Why did I even say that. Thinking cap back on...

Nah Bartel will be a good choice..

just teasing ISDONISGOODES as we know each other in real life....and he has Hogan..like you..lol

who are the 3 spuds of the year?

Petrenko Duddy and Walker?

Players who some how get games but no idea what's going on...

I can't believe I'm the only one voting Chapman! I think he will get a TON of the ball in the restructured cats line-up.

It's gonna be a tight race to the finish, innit? Although to be fair, the two youngsters should really not be tarred with the same brush as the REIGNING COLEMAN MEDALLIST FROM THE REIGNING PREMIERSHIP TEAM! The only saving grace for me and my underperforming power forward is that I didn't pay full price for him. Of course that was back when he and RoK were around a similar price...
Second worst trade decision of the year for me after Pratt over Lake 3 weeks ago.

What are peoples thoughts on either Swan or ROK for Captain?
Swan doesn't play that well against the dogs so I'd stay away from him (I know he got 117 last time against them but that was probably scaled up because he kicked a late goal that brought us within a goal).

ROK did get 126 last time against Essendon but he might spend more time up forward.

So I wouldn't go with Swan, but ROK should be a good option IMO.

Given I figure it's basically a coin flip at this point, the idea of making Bartel captain against my own team just seems defeatist. :D I don't want to find myself surreptitiously cheering for him to rack up the possessions...
