Rd2 vs. Carlton

We gave them a 4 goal start and beat them by nearly 7 goals. No injuries and all players getting good game time in their legs. I'm happy with that. We had the WORST umpire in Australia tonight as well... You know you are MATTHEW HEAD...yes you are a disgrace

think I saw quite a bit of massage work going into the legs of x, raph, kosi & lenny on the sidelines. Probably just this time of year getting the pegs battle hardened.

Thanks, I think ... ;) I'm loving seeing Bally up, heading back towards where he left off pre op.

Good to see Michael Gardiner getting a game for you guys. The bloke looks fit after a horror run with injuries and should turn out to be a useful player for the next few years. He was definately worth the punt, obviously you guys needed a ruckman, he's a former all Australian and hopefully he has a great season. He looked pretty good in the first half last night.

He's got us in the radar it seems. That free against Blake was unbelieveable and cost a goal. There was another against Gilbo on the wing which can't be a free unless you are going to give Riewoldt 10 frees a match. The 50m penalty against Rooey was laughable. The "head high" by Monty on Simpson was another classic.

The frees were 12-5 at 1/4 time, and 20-11 at one point. The Saints did well to overcome this, and benefited from the inevitable evening up of the frees towards the end (the umpires must think people are stupid).

Had a very good game did the big feller, particularly in the first half. Hope he can keep it up!

Not sure at which stage of the game it was (1st or 3rd) but MG was running back with the flight of the ball, I thought he was going to be cleaned up or "Kosi'd", but instead he took the mark and seemed to hip & shoulder the Carlton bloke (couldn't see who it was, up other end of ground) and he went flying! That was damn impressive - and a relief!

That was Russell. I think Gardi had missed the target (just) with this earlier disposal, and was keen to make up. Russell was just about to mark it until Gardi re-arranged the furniture.

Thanks Squiz, haven't seen the replay yet.

Good win on the weekend but how did a team of St Kildas quality let Carlton get within 40 points i thought it would have been at least a 12 goal + flogging.

We were up by 10 goals with 5 minutes to go, and they finished by slotting 3 goals in a row, I think we just turned off, shame, would have been nice to have kicked the 3 goals instead of conceding them.

Is it just me, but it seems that when our guys try to run the clock down, It more often than not backfires and results in the other team scoring?
I think they would be better off keeping the focus on the goalposts.

given that we beat you by 40 points you should probably shut your stupid pie hole

my appologies to the St Kilda fans on here for my outburst this is purely directed at a stinking piece of Carlton excrement.

you won by 30 not 40 so get your head out of your ass...

round 7 saints fan, besides the melbourne record flogging this weekend the saints should be in top gear by that stage and should belt the tigers by over 100!
