Can someone let me know how Bobby Johnson is travelling down at the Kangaroos?? Good inclusion?

This kid is a gun...Always was down at Rupo and alwyas will be no matter what club he plays for. Kanga's have him playing up the ground a bit more and he is killing it.1 goal 2 points and unknown amounts of great marks (as always) from the back line on the weekend.Such a shame Rupo had him sh^%$ing on in the same position all the time.Spoke to some one at the club and they were saying that he has filled a HUGE hole in the back line at the Kanga's so i can bet u an even bigger one will be left at Rupo.Great to see that he can finally use his hardness at the ball to his full strength. From what i have seen he was holding back at Rupo.

Im guessing u are from Rupo.Any goss on Justin Phillips.I know Bobby loves that kid and just thought i could pass on some info about how he is going this yr.:)

Yeah, Bobby is a gun. He is a loss down there in the side and as a person. We all loved him down there. Phillips is travelling ok, started off brilliant and has kicked a few goals. Last few weeks a little down, the same with most of the side

i know sunbury are going so well this year and i happy for them but dose anyone think that they would be more competetive and better suited if they wored harder on keeping there junior at the club because they have developed very good footballers juts to let them leave to ther club eg dylan wright

Good call Polly, It is disappointing that these guys left the club for the Lions, unfortunately, Lions have something they attempt to offer these guys that we cannot.. All we can do is help these players get to a higher level of football, and im not talking Ballarat football league.. We are starting to develop a record with players either heading to or at least having invites to VFL training, as long as we continue to do that we will have something to offer as a club...
The guys you mentioned, there was several attempts at contact to try to keep them at the Kangaroos, they just felt it was a better opportunity to leave and go to the Lions.
You also have to remember that the Roos did keep alot of very good young footballers that are now in the senior system.. Matt Welsh, Jackson Baddelly, Dan Ellery etc are now playing very good senior football with the club....

Well if that is the case please answer me this.Every week some one comes back to the Kanga's after a night out on the weekend and tell us about all these Rupo ppl baging the crap out of him and other ex Rupo players. The only reason I could think someone would be doing something like that is to put him off his game....Which CLEARLY it isnt..Once again in the Best's this week!!! Great work Bobby Johnson. Love having you at our club!!!:) :thumbsu:

Don't think anyone has the right to get stuck into bobby. Having said that i dont think anyone is getting into him at all!!! What i can tell you is rupo were very dissapointed at the way bobby left the club after so many senior games. He did get dropped for the grand final which was a bit harsh, but to leave all the friends he had made at the club, and to go play for the sunbury kangaroos was viewed as a very very weak option. Bobby was dropped because he wasnt suited to the conditions that day, enough said. Initially he did leave a hole in the back line, but that hole has been filled by some very talented footballers :).

Yes indeed, Rupo have covered Bobby beautifully, they dont need him at all, he could have maybe stopped only 4 or 5 of the goals on the weekend, which would have still meant a 7 goal loss, his replacements have done terribly well....

Clearly u know nothing about Bobby. The real reason he left the club is cause he was sick of playing in the same position every week, and had made this decision in the middle of the season. If any of you cared at the club you would know that and stop making up reasons for him leaving and trying to make your self look good!!!You are all a bunch of back stabbers and worse than a bunch of girls!!Grow up and worry about your self and not other people's business which you don't even know the facts about!!

i didnt know coaches were supposed to be mind readers too? It's pretty hard to keep a player satisfied when he doesn't speak up about his thoughts on where he is being positioned.
You guys can think what you like, or use that selective hearing which is nurtured so effectively.

to all readers and posters, I would like to make a sincere public apology to James House. This is ditch davey(using a relatives name with permission!!), I took advantage of a friendship and did not mean to intentionally harm anyone. I have been banned which is a fair call as My post regarding James was uncalled for and inappropriate. It was in no mean directed for hurt. I have played alot of successful football with Housey and he is a great bloke with a good attitude and good friends. I realise now that I should not have said anything, it is too late now but I am sorry for any grief I have caused anyone relating to one of my posts.
All in all, I took it too far. Its good to have a bit of banter but I have pushed the limits this time and admit that. I have no doubt Housey would be a warm welcome back at the club, any club. Sounds like the kangas are having one of their best seasons and you have to give them that.
Bobby J Johnson has many great friends down at Rupo and we all look to see how our ex players are going, and it looks that they are playing good football. Good luck for the rest of the year!!
Regards
Ditch

Good question going around on the RDFL forum about who is the top Under 18 playing in the senior comp at the moment....

Wouldn't mind seeing people's opinion on who they think are the top Under 18's that are having an impact on the seniors... My list would be...

1 - Trav Hede (Kilmore)
2 - Matt Stacey (Woodend)
3 - Matt Krul (Rockbank)
4 - Paul Newton (Kangaroos)
5 - Mick Kilty (Diggers Rest)
6 - James Climas (Riddell)
7 - Jubes (Woodend)
8 - James Wright (Macedon)
9 - Cam Dawson (Romsey)
10 - Jack Germaine (Woodend)

Tough one though, several others that could easily fit in this list....

New signing for the Riddell Football Club, and possibly a premiership signing... Michael Gadsden from the Sunbury Football Club has put his clearance in... Will be huge for Riddell no doubt about it...

Yeah, Robbo is no doubt a star, but talking in the context of impact on Senior football he hasn't played a lot of it yet and in the games he has hasn't had a huge impact compared to Climmo and Leitch...

James Climas is Climmo, started the game against WRFL in the middle, played most of the game there... Not sure against the BFL though...

Fair call. Robbo is just starting to find his feet. Had a great game against Sunbury with 3 goals and in the best for Riddell behind his Brother Glenn. Is athletic and an absolute workhorse. Look out for James Petran in upcoming weeks. ;)

Petty has been dominating the Under 18's, great set of dukes.. Might find it hard in the seniors though with James back.. But hope he gets his chance... :thumbsu:

More imports for Riddell , how many senior players actually played juniors with this club , must be spending the most in this league by a mile .

Really depends on the games you have seen. When Mick Kilty is not doing his Dean Lupson impersonation and is switched on he has as much as impact as any of them.He killed Riddell earlier this year and plays as a major role in the midfield.Jubes goes alright and I like Dawson as a forward in the future.Probably not with the best yet but has more improvement in him.Very clever player.

Just heard news that blows away the Gadsen news if correct. Is it true that Aaron James has left Albion and struck up a deal to play with Sunbury Kangas? A source tells me that the deal has been signed, sealed and delivered! i asked him whether he was getting mixed up with the Sun. Lions and he gave me an emphatic no. Can anyone at Kanga land confirm or deny this.
