Wrestling is pretty meh without the crowds. AEW has lost a lot of momentum.

Chris Jericho cutting promos against a drone is pretty much the peak of the medium though. **** he’s so good.

Yeah it would be cringy af without a crowd.

WWE is cringe without crowds, because they’ve forgotten how to do proper pro wrestling and instead just pander for crowd reactions. AEW has done a little better with the creativity they afford their talent, but it’s still a tough task.

Jericho's been the shining light the last few weeks.
Not sure how Matt Hardy is gonna go, it's kinda cringey so far.
Big fan of Orange Cassidy, before all this virus shit kicked off I actually paid $50 to buy a shirt of his from the US

I remember discovering one of the mates I had made at uni was a regular on the Freo board.

Explains a lot about him, actually.
I saw a guy from one of my uni tutorials last semester browsing the Eagles board on BigFooty. I perked up when I noticed and was very keen on finding out who he was but the campaigner wasn't logged in so is probably just a lurker.

Sweet jeebus. How white are you?

I also like Boney M if that helps make the picture clearer.

Jericho is mint. Matt Hardy’s broken stuff never really did it for me but I appreciate the creativity. Keen to see if he can still go though, because his WWE stuff looked tired towards the end.

Orange Cassidy man. Superstar. It works better with a crowd but **** he’s just the most engaging guy I’ve seen for a long time. It’s the best gimmick since the very start of the Fiend and Jericho’s list, and he’s been doing it for years. Tried to get an Orange Cassidy shirt for some Halloween thing last year but it was sold out.

Country music always seemed fake to me. Reminisces of cowboy times.

Now the blues. That is a man's soul laid bare.
Country is the white mans blues. I’m actually not a huge fan of it outside of a few certain artists. Guys like Willie Nelson, Cash and Waylon have soul in them and KK’s just a great writer. Also I’m turned off but those artist with an overly exaggerated twangy voice.

Find Marty Robbins voice very soothing as well.

Been getting to blues recently as well.

Funny how country music is popular in the least whitesest of countries.

That said I wouldn’t be caught listening to modern country. Chris Stapleton is good but he mixes other genres.

Ironically or genuinely?

Genuinely. They are pure fun. Hard not to like.

Going through a big Otis Reading phase, and some of his stuff is really good big band funk. It’s great, he’s great, top tier musical talent. But Boney M, man. Kool and the Gang. All that shit, they know what they are and they lean into it.

My interest in country came about while I was Pinging off my face and “Folsom prison“ came on. It took me months to find out the name of the song and who played it.

Oh to be young and naive again.

Now you are talking brother. Otis is the bomb. Leaves Marvin Gaye in his dust

Yeah going to be interesting if it works in AEW, I haven't seen his impact run but it seems like a lot of people loved it.
OC back in front of crowds in a few months could explode, if they play it right he could be the most over guy in wrestling this time next year.

My next point was going to be about how I’ve been listening to a lot of Marvin Gaye too :(

Anniversary of his death a few weeks ago so this did the rounds on Twitter a fair bit. Remarkable.

All you need to do is grow up with your father, who has a preference for novelty pop songs, having control of the car stereo on every journey and have him turn the volume up extremely high every time. I still get anxious if I hear Rivers of Babylon or Ma Baker, and I still pick Sony for my portable music players out of gratitude for the Walkman.

I do have Rasputin on my playlist though. Dad didn't ruin that one.

I like Marvin, he was a great singer, but I feel like he sold out a fair bit. Product of the machine in a lot of ways.

Otis was just straight up. Six feet one, weight two hundred and ten.
