EFA. The guys been brainwashes into making the shit he now calls music. The fact that he completely rejects the band and music that made him famous makes me sick.
And he's not allowed to change direction in his career, why?

I didn't say he couldn't change direction. But he can at least acknowledge that the stuff he did with Silverchair was good, even just acknowledging that it made him famous. Even when someone brings it up in interviews with him, he puts this "ugh" look on his face like he's ashamed of it. They were a small Australian band that went big outside of Australia. Not many bands had done that before them, to do it whilst they were still in High School makes it even more of a feat, and he just brushes it off as "eh, high school band, nothing to see here".

The music he makes now is crap, but that's more my opinion then a hard fact. I don't like his style nowdays.

On another note. I've just lost another microusb charging cable to my mothers ****ing pets. That's two in less than two months. Ridiculous. I try my best to keep my wing of the house shut away so they can't get down there, and yet they still do. Gah.

The dude is trying to promote his solo stuff for the first time, I'd be pretty 'ugh' too if that's all I was ever asked about. I'm sure further down the line when he's had some solo success, he'd be more willing to reflect on his past experiences.

Classic Zayn Malik effect.

Pick where the story goes off the rails...

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-06-11/senior-bombers-axed-for-eagles-clash/6539994?section=sport

Essendon coach James Hird has reacted to last week's thrashing at the hands of Geelong by axing Courtenay Dempsey and Tom Bellchambers.

The Bombers' faltering season hit a new low with the 69-point mauling by the Cats, but there is some good news with skipper Jobe Watson returning from a groin injury for Saturday's clash against West Coast in Perth.

Former Greater Western Sydney Giant Shaun Edwards has also earned a call-up as the Dons try to avoid losing three games on the trot.

The Eagles have a big inclusion of their own with forgotten forward Jack Darling in for his first game since round 23 last year.

Darling has battled a foot injury this season but he returns to the line-up along with former Hawk Xavier Ellis.

Fraser McInnes and Jackson Nelson were omitted.

Prior thanked his "family, team-mates, coaches and the people behind the scenes", as well as "cricket fans both at home and abroad", and said he had created "friendships that will last forever".

"I have always tried to play with pride and passion, and have a deep belief that the team will always come first - a value that will never leave me whatever I go on to do," he said.

"Although I haven't achieved all the goals I had set out to, I feel immensely proud of what I have done in my career. Sadly it is now time to move on."

Andrew Strauss, Prior's captain during his time with England and the England and Wales Cricket Board's new director of cricket, paid tribute to his former team-mate.

"Matt has had a wonderful career as a wicketkeeper-batsman for both Sussex and England," Strauss said.

"During a period where the Test team won three Ashes series and achieved the world number one ranking, Matt's contribution both on and off the field was immense.

"It is a huge shame that his career has come to an end in this way, although his athletic wicketkeeping and counter-attacking batting will live long in the memories of both his team-mates and England supporters."

Prior will now be able to channel his energies into his professional cycling team, ONE Pro Cycling, which he set up earlier this year.

Just got my Eagles 2014 yearbook delivered today. :drunk:

Club is very good at keeping deadlines. #returnthewings
Maybe it's a deliberate ploy designed to make you reminisce about last year?

I mean think about it, if you got it at any point last year, you'd be thinking "eh, season only just finished" and stick it in the shelf or something. With it being late, it's now well and truly enough time for you to cast back to last year; and relive all those glorious chokes and implosions that really summed us up in season 2014.
