People who actually need to utilise the ignore function must find real life terribly difficult.

Depends on who you are ignoring though, e.g. I put Ian Dargie on ignore and I no longer have to worry about long winded diatribes and insults to people he disagrees with.

I love his thread bumps 6-12 months after the fact. Somebody says "This could happen" and he says "nah I don't think so". And then he bumps it when it doesn't happen. Even though the person only said that it could.

Gosh he puts words in peoples' mouths.
