didn't manage to spot a thread like this so, who is out of contract at punt rd. and who hasn't signed up?

i haven't heard news on tamblings resigning for one. anyway who else is currently uncontracted?

Im pretty sure tambling resigned for 2 more years...but i would'nt bet my life on it.

He signed the standard two-year draft contract. All draftees must undertake as such or else the club would be penalised by the AFL.

He signed till the end of 2007, i think you will find this isnt the case all the time, if i remember correctly the lions were offering Marc Murphy a 4 or 5 year deal and i think Jordan Lewis signed a 3 year contract.


The standard contract is a MINIMUM of 2 years doesnt rule out that draftees cannot sign up for a longer contract as per Richard Tambling did when drafted by RFC in 2004.

I thought the first contract for a draftee HAD to be of 2 years.

It has to be a MINIMUM of 2 years, they cant be signed for anything less, but can be signed for a longer period as was the case when we drafted Richard Tambling in 2004, his contract will end 2007 but im sure Greg has already got that marked down.

There was no need for his contract to be renewed this year as he doesnt come out of contract till end of 2007.

Again it has to be a MINIMUM of 2 years cant be less, but the RFC signed him up for 3 years when we drafted him.
