Now a week has passed since terry's appointment here are afew things i have read between the lines.

From what he has said we will develop our own and also get a bit tougher. So who will be our Libba and co. He wants some players to be tougher at the ball. I think this means fleming will definetly be with us next year and someone else will become a bit of a mongrel - any ideas?

Listening to Miller last night (club corner) i would say that Tivendale will definetly be our biggest trade bait. All that about to many left footers and how that makes the play too predictable means that he and others will be traded or flicked. As he said they either have to move up forward or move on. I think Tiv will be flogged around come trade time and its bye bye Ray Hall. The "left footers are not good for defence" theory is an interesting one and i have not heard it before.

Also look for us to recruit one or two more recycled players this trade time. "One Season" picks as Greg calls them. The theory is eight kids picked means a mininmum two year deal for each at 80 000 = 80 000 X2 (years) X 8 (players) = 1 280 000. It appears we cannot afford this next year so maybe a couple of rejects at 100 - 110 for a year is likely. I have no problem with this so long as we don't pick absolute duds (fletcher).

Anyway thats what i read between the lines - what are your thoughts.

Too many left footers - Fiora.....

fioras biggest problem is self belief or lack of, Id like to see him one year under wallace, and then decide his future.

I recall abt 10 weeks ago wallace for 3aw was asked wot hed do with fiora (amongst others) and he said play him in the midfield, hes not a defender, and see if hes got wot it takes, as simple as that

I think the biggest difference youll see with richmond under wallace is we will be a lot fitter, he will flog them over the summer make no mistake abt it, he loves his players to run hard and long through the lines...

will be interesting to see if we become more aggressive

fiora has had his time in the sun and he deserves to be moved on.

look the rest is a juggling act, i am all for kids but not duds like fletcher....flemming may survive becuse he has a dip but someone like fiora should not go ahead of him.

i have my faith in wally but it will take 3 years to turn this list over

Crikey you must have been spending plenty of time in those Cairo opium dens, that is a very calm statement from you Cairo, normally quick to play the angry mud slinger!

I would be amazed if Tivendale and Fiora are both there next year. Not sure if I'd get rid of both but one must go. Probably best to shop both around and see which one gets the best deal for us. Tivendales skills are much better but not sure how much improvement he has in him.
Not fussed about Ray Hall - if he didn't have height he would have been flicked ages ago. Again I'd imagine that either Gaspar or Hall will go - but not both.
Fleming may be of some value as an explosive player coming off the bench. Wallace might use him to go out and put some physical pressure on an opposition player that is getting it too much in the midfield, or shake off a tag of Coughlan or Brown. Predictable Danny tried this a few times but did it at the first bounce when everyone was expecting it. Fleming doesn't appear fit enough to play four quarters in the midfield.
How about trade Tivendale and let Fleming practice his physical prescence on Fiora all summer.

Tivva is good but he's one dimensional and has no right foot. Does not kick enough goals.

i believe either tivendale or fiora will be put up for trade.all depends on TW,s view on which player he thinks he can get he best out of with his game plan.
im inclined to keep fiora on the basis that under the right conditions[coach]he has more upside in his improvement.
Tivendale is your classic downhill skier and as other sides have woken up all you have to do is get him on his right side and he,s gone.
if it,s about saving money then gasper would surely be a prime target.even if we pay all but $200g of his last year of his contract just to sweeten the deal for a 2nd rnd pick.
id keep hall as a backup ruckman and play him where he is needed at the time.

cheers!

Basically going by what wallace has said about youth and not needing to totally bottom out.

They will keep Tivendale and look at getting rid of Fiora come trade time.

If its Fiora I wonder if we could flog him off to Port Adelaide for one of their fringe midfielders.

There's a reason why they're "fringe midfielders". Because they're not good enough to be prime midfielders.

Stop taking other team's junk.
