I can honestly say that I am a true die hard one eyed passionate payed up collingwood member. Followed the club through thick and thin and would never drop of.

I am honestly interested in which members and please be honest, have actually gone to a damn game this year. People really **** me off when certain big footy posters tell me i'm wrong or im a ****, when they havent been to a bloody game this years. Honestly how many games did you go to this year, live IE at the ground?
Are you a member?

Because some peole on here really **** me with their "expert" commentry on everything when they relie on other people giving them the information IE news papers and or TV. One example that really ennoys me is people saying that certain young players that haven't yet played a senior game being rated by peole when they haven't even seen them Play!!!

I have been too the footy that much this year that I see the same people week in week out at the footy, that are the same as me and my friends. People I would like to find out about how many games they went to this year are ZEKE, Joel, Nick the pie man, hotpie, MarkT, Sebastian and any one else who would like to coment.

I know now that you fellas are gonna make up some bull**** about going to everygame when you haven't. So face it and be honest don't kid your self by trying to get your rep up.

I cant get into many collingwood games, but whern ever i can im in there straight away. I havnt been a member before, simply because i cant get to enough games. I've been to 6 Collingwood games this year, one of them the prelim against port ;)

I'm not a member due to the fact that i play Football on Sundays. This year i'v been to Collingwood games vs ...

Richmond, Carlton, Geelong, West Coast, Kangaroos, Western Bulldogs, Fremantle, Richmond again and Essendon.

Member of the AFL (Collingwood Club Support)
Member Collingwood Social Club
Attended 16 games this year which is about average for me

I'm a legend's member and went to all 18 games in Melbourne, plus 2 interstate - Brissy and Sydney, plus all finals.

Supporters come in all shapes and sizes. Measuring how many games they attend is only part of the picture.

FWIW I am an MCC Member and attended about 7 home and away games, and two finals, all of them Collingwood games.

And I own a television.

Social Club Member Missed 2 games in Melbourne this year due to Engagments ect.

Taped and watched every game and was at the GF.

For me i am lucky that my wife likes football, i have no kids yet and i dont work weekends.

I understand that some people can not go for certain reasons KIDS WORK TRAVEL MONEY OTHER SPORT BEING PLAYED.

I only became a Member 3 years ago because i no longer play sport. But in that time i watched what i could on TV and went on average 6-12 games a years.

Just because your not a member dosnt mean you dont like your club anymore or less. I feel the same now about my club as i did 4 years ago.

You cant judge peoples support by asking if they have a membership or not.

We as members get the benifit of going each week because we can and Finals tickets.

Ive been to 65+ matches in the last 3 yrs including Wizzer Cup but Im no more a supporter than I was when I was only making it to 3-4 games a year when I lived in the country.

I go to any game with any teams. I am an Essendon supporter and I never miss one of their games unless it is on a Sunday when I am playing. In 2002 I attended 50 Home & Away games plus 2 finals. In 2003 I attended 44 Home & Away games, no finals. That's close to 100 games in 2 seasons. I'm not rich or anything, I'm not an AFL Member. I do it for the love of the game. It's just a great sport to be there and watch.

Take my hate off to you myself i wouldnt bother going unless i had to, Except Pies games

I am a Member this year and I will be next year, I go to most games in Melbourne but havent been interstate for a few years.

My two most prized CFC possesions are, 1990 GF teeshirt that has never been worn and my 1999 membership card.

I am a Member of the Pink Magpies and may I say we are still the only supporters group of its kind anywhere in the world, this is yet another first for the Pies.

I'm not a member, but will be next year as I will be earning more coin.

I went to about 8 games this year plus all 3 finals we played in(QF, PF & GF). I got mates to hook me up with QF & GF tickets. So 11 and all.

I usually get to around 10+ games a year, but used to see more when I was younger due to not playing senior footy myself.

It shouldn't really matter how many games you attend to actually know about footy anyway, if you watch it on TV it's pretty much exactly the same bar the atmosphere.

Very interesting thread. Really enjoyed the posts. I am a member and God willing I always will be. I would still be a member even if I couldnt attend the games as I dont believe its about attending, its about being a part of something.

I must admit when people start to ruffle my feathers at work or out and about in regards to football, I make a point of asking them who they follow and if they are members. My reason for doing this is it is a great fight back tool when you get in their face and let them know "hey your not a supporter your only a barracker, dont tell me what you know you dont even care enough to get involved" and I must say it works on the dudes in my work place.

So come on guys if you havnt got a membership get one and be a part of something special.........Floreat Pica

MAD! I love that saying....That is my signiture on Nicks :p

I am a LEGENDS Member....Was a season ticket holder most of my life but became a Social Club full member in 98.

I have missed about 5 games in 15 years. I attended every game and final this year except for the interstate ones. I was booked and ready to go to the Swans game at the Telstra Stadium but I got sick and had to cancel.

But...My most memorable was traveling to Adelaide last year for the historic Port final. I was so glad I made the trip. Apart from AAMI Stadium, I have only been to the Gabba (back in 2000) to see Collingwood.

All Wizard Cup games
All home and away games in Melbourne
Both games in Adelaide
All finals.

So basically - I missed the Brisbane away game, the Sydney away game and the Freo in London game.

Paid $300 for my GF ticket as well.

So anyone that says that I am not a true supporter can shove it up there arse for all I care.

*note - above shows that just being an ordinary member can work out and you can get to all the games. Stick that up your arse Eddie.

Being a Pie fan in QLD it is hard to see many games but I save up to get to at least 1 game in Melbourne a year.

I came down in Round 2 for the game against Carlton.

Went in Round 4 vs Brisbane at the 'gabba.

Managed to somehow get a seat to the Grand Final so I came down for that. Paying for everything involved with the GF has put me back alot and it doesn't help that it ended up being probably the worst investment I have ever made. I really thought this was our year. Very bloody disapointing day. And Hoggy, I stand by what I said at the cricketers, we didn't win because that would make us happy. God hates us. ;)
