who agrees that our rebuilding is pretty much over????

in the next few years i cant see alot of players leaving ect, i mean richo, brown, johnson ect will retire soon but i cant see alot more changes

We still have a lot of deadwood, and believe it or not new players will come in which means other have to go no matter what.

Yes we still have some deadwood throughout the team, but its getting to the stage where the end of this season and the next, will see the last lot be "retired".

What is obvious this year is that with our crop of youngsters that have had the game time put into them, they have come on quite well. We have many more sitting iin the 2's and the reserves and they eventually will come on. They are a part of the rebuild and will contribute when their time comes. Patience people, thats all we need. I see that we are 3/4 of the way with personel. We are on the right track but I do believe that some time down the track, a different coach will be appointed to get these youngsters to the next level.

thats what im trying to say, we have alot of good young players playing for coburg so i cant see our list changing alot...

its hard to say what i mean

the players we will get rid of are the player who we all know wont make it in afl, players like, deledio, foley, cotchin, thursfield, morton, hughes (if he keeps playing well) will probably be 10+ year players and alot of other younger plays will end up joinging that list

The rebuild is in its middle stages.

The older non contributors have been turned over, and we've kept the senior players that will mentor our youngsters.
And we now have some quality kids coming through that will be long term solid stars for the club.

Well done to TW, the coaching staff and the recruitment department for getting the Tigers list in top shape :thumbsu:

thanks greg

A team should always be rebuilding in sorts. Good teams need less of a rebuild than the bad teams.
As soon as you think you don't need to rebuild (Fremantle 2006) you're sunk!
And Richmond 2001

Gotta keep doing it - can't afford to just top up - we need to keep turning over those who won't make it - and pumping lots of young kids into the side.

We'll have finished rebuilding when we're sitting firmly in the eight, knowing we have a real shot at the flag.

Brisbane are always rebuilding and hence stay in finals for most years. Terry is building us to be like this in a few years. :thumbsu:
sydney have been in the last 5 finals series - west coast last 6
those two teams are the best recent examples
