Trent McKensie would be great but would cost a lot for another defender/flanker, a position we have well covered by O'Shea, Pittard, Polec and Broadbent. Whilst McKensie might be an upgrade on one or two, what he would cost in trade value, salary and team harmony may not be worth it.






then the AFL awards them a free agency band 1 compo pick, which is directly after their first pick at #4. We sign him as a free agent and pass over pick 17 - effectively giving them two first round picks for Jezza.
Why doesn't every team who trades a contracted player away void their contract first and get two picks for the price of one?
