Well we all know how well we've recruited over recent years, but here is a different way of looking at it and highlights how well we've done overall even if we have squandered some first round picks.

Simply rearranging the round in which the players were drafted;

2004

1st round - Chris Knights
2nd round - Nathan Van Berlo
3rd round - Ivan Maric
Jonathon Griffiin
Brad Moran
Brad Symes?

2005

1st round - Bernie Vince/Jason Porplyzia (Preseason draft)
2nd round - Jason Porplyzia/Vince (whichever. who is/will be better?)
3rd round - Richard Douglas

2006

1st round - Kurt Tippett
2nd round - David Mackay
3rd round - James Sellar

2007

1st round - Patrick Dangerfield/Taylor Walker
2nd round - Taylor Walker/Dangerfield (again who will be better?)
3rd round - Andy Otten
4th round - Brodie Martin (rookie)
5th round - Jared Patrenko (rookie)
6th round - Myke Cook
7th round - Jarrhan Jacky

2008

1st round - Phil Davis
2nd round - Shaun Mckernan
3rd round - Rory Sloane
4th round - Will Young
Ricky Henderson
Chris Schmidt

Has certainly set us up for years. Imo all the above first rounders are legitimate 1st rounders and all the 2nd rounders are great as well.

Interesting way of looking at it - the theory being that you'll have wins and losses but how you do overall is what counts.

On that basis the list above probably looks okay.

Yeah I know thats why I didnt name him as a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round I just put his name at bottom of list to imply he came from that draft and we have him now.
