That looks like Bentick will not be rookied now for sure with 7 going to Mclean, wonder who gets 25?

What's going on with the Carlton,Inside Carlton Yearbook are they waiting after the draft to issue it as previous years they come out before it anyone received it.

translated: "Are they waiting for after the draft? In previous years the Yearbook has been released prior to draftees and new players recieving their numbers"

oh god...i speak starchamber, i is spuds?

No 25 should be retired for several years out of respect to the great man Fev (certainly until after he retires from the Brions)

LMAO he's done it again. Woulda been good if Fev had shown us some of that respect you wish to give him.

Anyone who puts themselves put our club will not be considered a great. I love Fev just as much as anyone but I will not forgot the position he put our club in. The word Great should only be used for greats. Not dimwits.

To be fair though, I think it would be somewhat insulting to Fev, despite all the shit he's done, to give no 25 straight away, especially to an young draftee, who would feel 'burdened' to wear such a great number for the club, not only Fev, but Jezza etc.

I personally believe in the theory that most draftees should always wear high numbers when they come to the club, then after they prove themselves after 2/3 years, they should choose to a lower or a more famous available number at the club ...

I don't think any young player would want to be burdened with such an iconic number like 25, that's my own personal feeling.

Surprisingly I agree with you...

Not that much of a surprise that McLean got the No. 7 jumper. A number held in high regard at Carlton, particularly after The Dominator & Ratts have worn it with great distinction.

Thought Henderson may have ended up with No.23. Not sure why, just seemed a logical fit.

Must say i'd like to see AJ get a lower number though.

I couldn't care less about insulting Fev but i agree why would you burden a young player with that.

It would also create another news cycle about Fev and everything he did and the club just doesn't need that.

A number is just that... a number. It means next to nothing really and a player can make any number their own. Kouta made 43 his own, could you imagine him in any other number? Kouta in number 2 or 8 or 4 just isn't right...
