I chose Torney, because I think he has shown enough to suggest he has courage (D9 collision springs to mind) and a cool head under pressure.
In fact, he looks like hes been an integral part of our backline for years the way he has presented himself so far this year.
I think he also played 22 games last year which doesnt mean a real lot in itself but its another Ben Hart attribute that fits him well.
Hart Torney John**** = Coolheads under pressure x 3.

I voted for Carey, maybe Torney for the longer term but i've got no doubt after the wok final that Carey will have a major impact on the Crows aspirations this year, i don't mean to sound like an old record but those 2 goals he kicked & the arrogance he showed convinced me we made the right decision in going flat out to recruit him,

I'm with you Noddy. Even though Torney may be more value to the side for the long term, we would have lost badly on the trade deal if Carey doesn't make the biggest impact of our recruits in 2003. I'm confident he will kick 50+ goals. Burns still could turn out to be our best value for money recruit given that I expect he will have a useful season for the Crows & we didn't give up much for him.Originally posted by noddy

Good post TJ. I voted Torney as well, just looking at the long term, for all the reasons you stated. Plus the fact that his presence releases Edwards into the mid-field.
