We must stop him. Give him the red light and we are half way home but who will given the job. Maybe Gardnier coming gives Thompson another option.
RR is 184, can jump and do it on the lead.If Harley is fit he is an option but could Milburn be given the job. Im sure that they dont like matching Scarlo to slightly smaller quick leading forwards, also when "on" he give us so much drive.

i wouldnt say Sando. Harley will start of on him and Scarlett will get moved onto him if RR is dominating.

Spot on. Exactly how I see it. Especially if Neitz doesn't play it will allow Scarlett to sweep up a lot more where he can be devastating.
Put Scarlo on him, he should play on the oppositins best forward. Scarlo wil want to make up for a poor final vs Brisbane last year, he will smash Robbo.

whether neitz plays or not someone is going to be sitting in that goalsquare and my bet would be Dutchy Holland. Sure he aint no game breaker but he can kick a few goals given the chance. Someone will have to mind Neitz/Holland and i would say it will be Scarlett. IMO the best player to stop Robbo would be either Harley/Milburn definetely not Rooke though.

IMO Dasher is the man for the job.

Dasher is the best option. He has negated him in the past and is easily the best matchup for him.

Lets hope that Bomber can get this one right instead of tinkering and ********farting!

Scarlett is the man for the job.

The way Neitz is going, i reckon Mooney might be able to hold him nicely. Egan, Harley and Dash can provide further support for Robbo if he cuts sick again.

Give Dasher a crack and let Scarlett run Neitz ragged and create like he always does. Hunt on Davey, Harley on Holland and we are set.

If Dasher cannot contain him, then Tommy Harley will. Scarlett creates too much.

They have an average backline that i think we can exploit with our pace, although chappy is a huge loss for the club.

I think Melbourne will be very worried at how they will contain S.Johnson in his current purple patch and Gazza hitting form, i am confident we will take this one.

Cats by 27 points.

Top post! I Agree with every one of those matchups....let's hope Bomber does as well.

If i was you guys I would have scarlett on robbo for sure. No doubt about it. Nietz is injured and can't get near it, robbo's taking screamers, and kicking bags. I'd also be worried about davey, with the cats solid defence the small forwards will need to kick goals for melbourne to be a chance.
I think it will be a close game, I would have given the cats the edge if chappy was in, he's a gun.

Only problem with playing scarlett on neitz is it leaves you exploited if Neitz even plays a half decent game.

If we sit neitz in the square one out with either mooney or harley, and neitz doesn't break his leg, he will kick 5 or 6 just through pure strength advantage.

that said, robbo deserves scarlett. With bruce back though, and Green hitting form last week, as well as Davey and Yze lurking, it oculd spell trouble for the cats.

As someone pointed out, our backline ain't the best, but has saved our arses the last three weeks and deserves credit, plus geelong's forward line is average. at best.

IMO Melbourne is a fair bit quicker than Geelong and if we get up and running early we will be very hard to stop (Round 3 this year is an example).

I don't think Robbo will dominate this week, as I would say Harley would go on him and keep him fairly quiet. Yze will be the danger, even though he has been out of form he has been a consistent finals performer.

It will be interesting to see if Neitz plays.
Very good move by Danaher to name him even if he doesn't play, just gives Bomber a few more things to think about in the lead up.
