I've known Red Rover for quite some years now. He's a decent sort of bloke. The type of person, who at night, reclines in his leather Moran recliner, in his living room with rose-patterned carpet, listening to "Remember When" with Bruce and Phil on 3AW.
Not many people on here would know however, that Red Rover once used to be a tycoon, who held world domination up there amongst his primary objectives (which also included designing a shower cap suitable for outdoor usage).
Red Rover's peacemeal business career unfortunately, was brought to a swift and untimely end, when he unsuccessfully attempted to revive the "Wobbies World" them park in Burwood.
From here, Red Rover went into the entertainment industry. Some of you would remember the television variety program on the Nine Network, called "Don't forget your toothbrush".
Officially, the show was hosted by Tim Fergusson, with his willing and able assistant, Miss Wendy. The truth be known, to those in the know however, is that Red Rover in fact performed both of these roles. Unfortunately, after months of Red Rover's embezzling of production moneys and prize give-aways, "Don't forget your toothbrush" also went down the tube with attempted revival of the "Wobbies World" them park in Burwood.
Currently, Red Rover is planning a comeback. This time in the fashion stakes. He is working on a new line of period clothing. The period of choice, will be the Edwardian era (most notably displayed in the BBC production of the Jane Austin period drama "Pride and Predjudice"). Of Red Rover's main interest, is advancement in men corsetry and lingerie, in which he believes the current fashion industry is far behind his own, lofty standards.
