It was ALWAYS going to happen, we all knew it.

Can't see Sayers playing unless there's 2 injuries before Adelaide.
Selectors have said they have picked him in the squad with a view to play him in Adelaide.

Shaun Marsh being recalled yet again over better performing players is far and away the most hilariously stupid decision
Unbelievably dumb that the selectors still persist bringing back a player yet again who clearly is not up to it. What makes them think he will suddenly find mental toughness.

Would have been better off blooding a younger player.

Sayers in the Test squad....... but Tim Paine ?? LOL
I have no issue with Paine as he is a far better keeper than Wade & technically better batsman too.

Would have played many years for Australia if not for his finger injury.

Gives Carey a little time to grab his chance...

I see he will bat 6 yet Bancroft can bat 6 and leave Renshaw to open. Now Renshaw may be struggling but sometimes you take the long view and back him in

I heard this is Marshs 8th recall. 8. He isnt good enough for 4 recalls

His first class average is quite poor, maybe they don't see Bancroft as a good enough keeper.

Also, if Paine really is a better keeper than Wade, which he is, then why doesn't he keep for Tasmania.

He hasn't made a ton in 8 years in Shield cricket.

You don't blood players for Ashes tests.

Marsh has been in form in the JLT and Shield games. Really a flip of the coin between him a day Maxy, but they clearly thought Marsh was in better form.

How many times was he dropped, and how many injured?

That's bs you don't blood players in Ashes tests. Happens all the time.

Marsh is a spud.

We have blooded plenty of form young players over the years with success. Slater is the player who instantly comes to mind, but there have been plenty.

You don't gift players Test matches though.

Mostly dropped for failing to get to double digits in way too many innings.

We play our best side to win these tests. I don't give two shits about the future.

If someone had vastly better form than Marsh, they'd be in.

No, that's not an answer.

How many times was he dropped and how many times was he injured?

He was a shocker in that India series. I'd be curious about his stats if that period of disastrous form was removed.

Marsh is like David Mackay, we know what he provides and we know it's not good enough but we still pick him

Nah Smithy...Matty gets the gloves, played A grade Victorian District cricket @ 15 and Brad comes off the long run with his express pace, reckon Alex Keath might get a gig too...;)
