Jeez McAndrew is such a handy inclusion, quick 40 with the bat & 3 early wickets. Wouldn’t surprise if he ends up doing a ‘Scott Boland’ and getting a go late for the Test team and doing well.

Not sure i like it, 40 is too hot for anything let alone amateur sport.

My son in laws father fills in sometimes for his country club. He is in his late 60's.
Surely those leagues must question a participant's health at some stage.
I guess you dont have to play if you dont want to, but yeah it's a bit silly

I see Peirson is setting himself up for his customary hundred against SA.
Queensland now need 53 runs in 19 overs and to hold on for the draw & for Vic and Tassie to win to make the final… it’s not impossible.
Interesting who the preference would be to play in the final, don’t really have a preferred team to play as each have their strengths & weaknesses but even though SA scored 600 on them in the 1st innings I’d have trepidation with Queensland given their batting strength with Khawaja back and the fear Neser and Steketee can conjure up something special with the ball.

Be a massive shock for Tassie to lose from there, it isn't a stretch to see them get at least 350 run lead.
Vic/WA is the one though, both teams have the ability to go from 1/80 to all out 125. That game isn't finished until the stumps are pulled out of the ground.

Out of their 370, they lost 8 wickets for 88 runs, including 5/7 at either end of their innings!
All to do with bonus points, if QLD draw all they had to do was score *330 in the 1st innings in 100 overs (which they did) and hope Vic beat WA and TAS beat NSW.
So QLD scoring those *330 runs in 100 overs means Vics can’t make it even if they win if QLD just draw now. WA winning looks like the only way QLD don’t make the final with a draw (WA look like they have to chase 250+).
SA 2/40 odd with a lead of 290 with Marnus apparently bowling hand grenades now

So this is what I don't get.
Victoria needs results to go their way but they need to win the game before anything else. Already ahead by 320 but see out last 7 overs where they will presumably put WA in tomorrow. Why wouldn't you declare and give your bowlers 4 overs to wangle a wicket out before stumps?
