Seems amazing that he was overlooked by the Redbacks for a position as fast bowling coach a few years ago

Boof too.

One now coaching a national team, the other on the verge of doing so. Blewett Aus fielding coach.

Another disgraceful loss. Pretty poor on Zampas behalf as well. We give him his opportunity in all forms and he buggers off to Melbourne at the first chance. Getting sick of the Stars and the Sixers getting all the players. Hopefully Dizzy can get some good players here.

That doesn't seem amazing at all to me.

On Zampa's behalf, if you realised you were any good, would you stay here or would you go somewhere that wasn't a rabble? It's like James Frawley leaving Melbourne. And yes, we're Melbourne.

I also think player movements are irrelevant for T20. If you are going to play national teams, you want to be good at limited overs and test style matches.

Zampa might still remain a Redback.

Interviewing for a new coach to take place in the next few days, selection panel having some guy called Gilchrist ( never heard of him), Parkin ( one test match bowling figures of 0-102 off 8 overs) and one lucky Redback supporter to be picked form the crowd assembled outside Adelaide oval at 10am on Thursday.

Sadly, Jason "Dizzy" Gillespie has ruled himself out of the job by using expressions like "poisoned chalice" and "wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole" in a recent twitter update. Strangely enough he has applied for the England job which is surely the test match equivalent of coaching the Redbacks

Dunno, I've lost track of the number of people this SACA board has shafted in the pursuit of nepotism and personal legacies

The truest things are often the funniest.

Got an email this morning from the SACA with a bunch of stuff in it. I liked this bit the most:

Capture.PNG

I read that as, we'll listen to you if you pay us $25

Surely they can't be serious?

Here's some direct feedback: we've been a laughing stock for 20 years, and we're 1 and 10 for firsts and lasts. How would the SACA Board feel if they ate a bag of dicks?

If Gillespie coaches England

Add in Blewett as Aus fielding coach and we've got the trifecta
Boof wanted to but we wanted to go outside the saca box (big mistake in hindsight)
Blewy knocked us back IIRC
Dizzy has knocked us back as well
None of them we overlooked.

What are Jamie and Tim up to these days?

We overlooked all of them

Boof was overlooked for coach. Apparently would have been too close to the players.

Dizzy applied as bowling coach, we went with Joe Dawes instead

Blewett was briefly a batting mentor before being usurped by Jeff Vaughan

Siddons appointed coach of SA

Jamie Siddons

The answer to the question, "Which SACA player took the state to a Sheffield Shield before being unceremoniously dumped 23 years later by an underperforming board?"

Good luck to him, and us.
