Because he was a party boy who rarely made any effort to be fit and make the most of his talent. Moving him on was the right thing to do, the problem was we quickly realised that there wasn't actually anyone good enough waiting to take Fats McLardingtons spot even in his condition. Symptomatic of cricket in SA.

I don't disagree with you, but he now has 2 shield trophies to his name, which is more than our entire squad combined - we came last 4 years in a row. I hope he learned from his mistake!!!

are you talking about Jamie Cox learning from his mistakes?? You must be joking....bet he is out currently scouring all the B Grade intersteters looking for more "talent".....i am afraid the admin needs cleaning out here in SA..I think Darren Berry should be given more authority on who he wants to play and recruit. Prmising players that they will get a game when the score a hundred and then not carrying out that promise just discourages the talent! Good to see
Cossie back anyway.

I'm talking about Cosgrove learning from his mistakes (sarcasm) - not good enough for us but good enough to win 2 shields while we came last four years in a row, I bet he's laughing now thinking "yeah, they showed me"

We kicked him out, he made the most runs in the competition and won a Shield, then another one. And has returned in basically the exact same shape he left in.

We valued things other than runs. Four years later we're like... yeah... runs are good.

Cosgrove back is a joke. He will only hold back younger players. His attitude is no different to when he left. Lets hope he doesn't infect Head Smith etc with his lazy unprofessional habbits.

So Cosgrove for Maxy...... Disappointed to see him leave but all the best to him he'll probably get that baggy green now

Actually reckon Klinger going is a decent result. We've got great service out of him. His best cricket was with us.

Opens the door for Head/Smith.

Plus Klinger was starting to pick up injuries. For once the final couple of injury plagued years wont be on our list!

Anyone else at the club who could have been captain ?

Klinger would be the stand out if he had stayed

Callum Ferguson - he could be captain for the next 5 or 6 seasons.

Then give it to Travis head (who by then should be an established senior player)

THE South Australian Cricket Association has sensationally sacked high performance manager Jamie Cox.

SACA Chief Executive Keith Bradshaw has issued a statement saying the former Tasmanian opening batsman had been dismissed because of his “failure to disclose player recruitment negotiations carried out by him”.

“On Tuesday, May 20, Cricket Australia contacted SACA to advise that player recruitment activities undertaken on behalf of the Adelaide Strikers during the League’s embargo period were under investigation for possible contravention of the BBL Player Contracting and Remuneration Guidelines,” Bradshaw said.

So SACA had the balls to do what the Crows should have done?
