Roast Redundancy

I am approaching 40 and just had the same thing happen to me unexpectedly after 10 years with the same organisation, but the worst thing is I was on contract - so no redundancy!
yep been there non unionised industries always abuse their staff


I am looking at is as an opportunity to 'reset', but am fortunate to be in a position personally and financially where I am in no rush to find employment, a spot I appreciate most people don't find themselves in.
SBS series showed that many have to sleep on the streets after the same experience,i lost my house,furniture everything through phoenix liqudation schemes and after 5 years still have no support
from taxation office, pushed onto an abn as i have no recourse.

It was still a very nasty shock though, and humbling too, as you quickly realize the power imbalance between employer and employee.
NO union, youre stuffed

I hope you can find your feet quickly. It is one of the most stressful experiences you can go through, so go easy on yourself.

in the car trade
2010 up car , you can uber your head off
they used to get loans ,dont pay ,leave cars at airport ,never serviced
finance company cant recoup loss therefore
Now students(sic) cant get loans as easily
i have a car yard and have purchased 7 this year always the same story, no keys full of personal gear and never serviced
get a good one sometimes, and i buy them cheap but been caught a few times
