Referrals?

There is a section on each person's profile, headed "referrals", where I apparently have had 1. Looking at other people's profiles, they all have none.
What's it all about?

Maybe someone who has recently joined BF has said they were referred to this site by you. Well that would be my guess anyway, only other thought is they have referred you to a psychiatrist.

Basically if you refer someone they can put in your user name. If it catches on I might offer a prize for best referrer each month.

i have 1 referral too.. who knows who that was.. is there anyway i can find out who i referred??

What are referrals?

If the administrator has enabled referrals, you will see a field in your profile detailing how many referrals you have received. You gain referrals by promoting BigFooty using your unique referral link that looks like http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/index.php?referrerid=308 - Each time someone follows your link to BigFooty and registers your referral count will be incremented by one. You administrator will have more information on any prizes or rewards that may be given out for referrals. Please be courteous when promoting BigFooty by not spamming other web sites with your referral link just to gain referrals.
