Hmm it would be very interesting that's for sure, having 4 future hall of famers in the one team, although he's role would be pretty limited.

If he can still contribute and make a decent contribution for about 15 - 20 mins a game, I say why not, although I am far from convinced, I dunno I think it would be pretty interesting to see what happens if/when Reggie signs with Boston

Come on, 5 All-star appearances make a HOFer?

And total points isn't really a great measure - he played for a long time. His career average is something like 18.2ppg with 3rpg and 3apg. Hardly spectacular numbers.

Look, Reggie Miller is one of my favourite players - I still have one of those slick pacers 31 unis from back in the day - but when you stack up his numbers against other players of his era, they're not great.

The main argument for would be his popularity and clutch shooting as well as his 3pt ability (Although Ray Allen will overtake him if he stays healthy).

I would love to see him in there, but all three of his new teammates (if he signs) would be in front of him - as would a lot of players he played with.
Then again, if I'm not mistaken Chris Mullin got in this year - and he hasn't had nearly the career Reggie had - but a lot of better players have missed out. I suppose a lot of it has to do with politics in the end.

Your legacy was with the Pacers, and part of that was the whole one-team mantra. Riding coat tails now kills that portion.

a smart up-and coming young team should "bite" and make him a player-assistant coach

Give him 5-10 mins a game if capable but primarily use his defensive brain to teach the young guys.He was also a awesome point-forward.he would be a perfect fit at seattle for instance, teaching Durant in his early years.

Reggie will make the HOF i dont think that really needs to be argued simply for his influence on the game if not anything else. As for this Boston situation it would be fantastic if he came back and got the ring he deserves i for one as a Pacers fan would absolutely love it if the man came back and went all the way.

He is probably the fittest 42 y.o going around and i think he could easily fill a role on the Celtics roster i mean jesus how long did Andrew Gaze play even Shane Heal is 40+ Reggie is fitter than both those guys of course he is in a diffferent league of skill etc but you get the idea i dont think fitness would be an issue.

My thoughts exactly. Love the bloke and would be great to see him get a ring.

HOF for sure. Could have averaged a lot more if all he cared about were his own stats. Just look at his playoff record and ability to step up when needed, and the fact he led one of most consistantly good teams in the East in the 90's and early 00's. Doesn't have a ring but he was a winner.
