Usually there a few each season, although none this year except a Colts match down in Albany.

I understand the difficulties and effort logistical to make them happen, but really think both the sponsors and clubs should be sitting down and thinking about how to host a regular amount of regional league fixtures each season.

An idea would be for each club to nominate a "home" regional town/venue....and every 2nd season hosting a game there....with the other 5 clubs hosting their "home" regional game every other season. Would obviously make most sense for clubs to dip into their historic regional recruitment zones.

+Ex....

Claremont....Albany
East Freo....Gerladton
Subiaco....Kalgoorlie
Swans....South Hedland (although these days Karratha is probably a better option)
West Coast....(Rotate between towns that aren't serviced by other clubs)
Etc.....

Growing up mostly in regional WA I remember how cool it was when WAFL games came to town, also give people out there more exposure and reason to keep track of the WAFL

Obviously there are a few other things that probably should have higher priority in helping the comp stay relevant and supported, but I think reconnecting with the regions if carefully planned is also very beneficial.
