And this post just proves that either you can't read or are just to arrogant to admit when you are wrong, my post was all about how players cannot be grouped together, I just didn't spell it out to you in simple words such as "defender" and "midfielder", I used the very complex grouping of "playmaker", oh and on that whole grouping issue:
no my point was you were trying to discuss, or muse about how the stats might used, and their limitations, when it was clear that you did not already know that was how they are used.
and how can I be freaking wrong you clown, about what exactly?????
that you didn't understand the subject, sure as heck was right about that.
That radar's efficiency is very low?????
to quote you: your post was about how players cannot be grouped together, and yet they are not. what was the point of making a post about that?
no, I don't know either.
It would have been more correct of you to say that of our midfielders, but you didn't.
exactly why oh oracle? surely you knew that midfielders have the lowest %, so that the lowest midfielders are also the lowest in general.
you knew that right?

or are you saying his disposal efficiency isn't low?
if you are - you're wrong.
if you are not - do you have a point?
take your pick!
Now if you insist on using this measure to dismiss Reilly as a player, then I don't know what everyone's problem is with Chris Knights's disposal, of our midfielders who kick the ball more than they handball it(those who handball more naturally tend to have a higher rating), he would have the highest disposal efficiency, behind only Mackay, above Edwards, Vince, Goodwin, Mcleod, Thommo, Reilly.
ok, I am not surprised you've resorted to making things up - because you are hell don't seem to have a clue about what you're trying to say or why you are even saying anything.
I am not insisting on using this measure to dismiss reilly as a player. why not try and re-read.
when you guess at their ratings - the use of the term "would have" is a bit of a give away. if you don't know, I can't imagine anyone wants to hear your predictions on something that is easily researched.
while we're here, you might be surprised (cause you sure don't already know) that disposal efficiencies are measured by hand and foot individually. so a players propensity to kick or handball makes no difference as they are measured separately.
now what exactly about my comment that you didn't understand the measure was wrong again?
and I am going to ask again, what do you dispute? that reilly's rating is low, or the reasons for it? do you even know what it is you disagree with?
I don't think you do.
and of course, the reason the other players weren't brought up is because its not a thread about them. I mean how daft is it whinge that one player is focussed on, and not others, in a thread about them. c'mon, that's just wasting everyone's time.
So all those who have a go at poor old Knights for his poor disposal really don't know what they are talking about?
ignoring the irrelevance of this strawman, one might wonder who on earth thinks Knights has the same 'skills' as Reilly. do you? if not, what's your point. if you do, well...
Just on your last paragraph I agree with this completly and I guess is largely my whole point, a lot of people, just read these stats and don't actually question them or put them into context.
like you for one.
Oh and by the way, just to put a little more perspective on this, going by Reilly's disposal rate this year, if he were to have 1 more efficient disposal a match, then he would be at the higher end of what I'd class as our "playmakers", ie those players i've listed above. Now maybe thats something he should work on .
If Rutten scored 1 more goal per game, he'd be in the leading group of our annual goal kickers. If, If If...
come back with a standard deviation and your point might be relevant, if not its uncles and aunties time.
Particularly as reilly's inability to hit a median level of targets has plagued him for years, not just this season.
Quite frankly, I'm not exactly sure what to make of Reilly, at his best IMO he is our best midfielder, unfortunately similar to Knights, struggles to come back from injury and sadly he has a lot of them. We havn't seen a lot of him over the past 2 years, has looked brilliant preseason and early in the season, but has always gone down injured, never to return to his early season heights. I just hope he has an injury free season next year, because if he can, I think he could come in very handy.
hey, you do have an actual (dubious) opinion. hooray!
took a while.
