Wasn't my scenario. FWIW, I would have rated it a 1.5 on my own scale. People overrate draft picks, including many Hawk supporters.0 - go back to hawthorn

I find myself at odds with some others and wish to pose a hypothetical trade scenario to gauge the reaction of Adelaide supporters and how you value Reilly.
On a scale of 1 to 5 where 1=ridiculously stupid, 3=about fair, 5=where do I sign!, how would you react to an offer of Reilly for pick 12?
Cheers
Whoever said a top 5 pick is surely taking the piss.

Errr, yes I do.
If you are saying that in hindsight there are drafts that are strong and drafts that are weak, then how do you know the value of the players in the draft, without a crystal ball.

If you are saying that before the draft you know how valuable a player (in this case Reilly, who was drafted with a first round pick in 2001, is 23, has played 68 games, and unlike several other players seems content at Adelaide) relative to all of the players in the draft, then I'm amazed. Who would have thought that Hird would have gone on to be the champion he was at pick 70-something. Would you rank Travis Johnstone the 1998 number 1 draft pick ahead of Hird?

wouldnt give you Rielly for a #1 pick
