He has been invited to train with us, here is a link with his profile, he is 23, but apparently has some serious talent...

What does it mean to you to play for the NT Thunder?

Quietly spoken fellow... :p

But seriously we really are casting that net pretty wide with a lot of guys "training with us" at the moment.

Let's hope we unearth some talent in the process...

Nah, not really, im trying to find more info but having no luck lol :o

He appears quite shy, wouldnt even tell us his fav food :)

I think we really need another crumber to help Nahas out, so good to see they are atleast looking.

Sublime skill by foot on either side of the body...
When you ask Relton wether he is right or left footed he replies "I dont know" and he's for real haha - he is the definition of ambidextrous.
Iv'e seen him snap some great goals from 50 on his left and right foot, man i hope you guys pick him up, he'd be such a handy player.

Thanks for the info mate, he sounds like a talented footballer, hopefully he impresses at training:thumbsu:

Played for Euroa in the Goulburn Valley in 2008, has blistering pace I have been told but I have never seen him play.

I like it. That's what finding 'rare gems' is all about. Mature Aboriginal kids have a history of stepping up straight away. The Thunder are a strong unit going by their results. Worth looking at him up close.

There were some highlights of James Puautjimi floating around a while back. He's got skills. And Bradley Palipuaminni has an awesome name. (Edit: training with Port)

Goulburn Valley's two Aboriginal stars from the Northern Territory, Relton Roberts and Rowan Bonson, rang rings around the BFLs best defenders with Roberts kicking three goals and Bonson one.

sounds like a good prospect. A lot of the players we're looking at seem to be goal kicking HF/mids. If he can kick and can play I don't see why we shouldn't pick him up. 23 is a bit old though...

Cool ... over aged and another shortarse...:o

Might as well just christen Griffiths "Gulliver" now....

Forward pocket, natural footballer, can kick on both sides, fast, Well! what not too like as somebody said Nahas has some support... this guy sounds alright:cool:

too many foward pocket players & not enough kpf imo
edwards
taylor
nahas
gilligan
morton
just about half the team can play fp, we need 192-198 kpf if we were to draft a short ass dylan mcneil is the kid i want.

He fits the height profile:thumbsu: Looks a bit too solid though? Ah well our dietician and weights instructor will work their magic and he will be a rake in no time.

Not too concerned about the solid aspect. I remember one M Reoli (may have spelt it wrong!?) being a little bit on the large boned side but could he play the game. Norm smith in 82 side from memory? If the fella can play and has a bit of toughness about him, worth a look. Keep looking far and wide RFC.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

He looks a solid lad (and an angry one, too). If he's solid I have no problem with him, though it would seem to be a lot of smalls we're looking at. Maybe they see Nahas as a small backman?

Unfortunately Double Jimi is something like 169 cm - Mario would probably have a heart attack if we drafted him.

Would not mind at all if we picked up Relton with a rookie pick. Has played in the NTFL for a number of years now for both Nightcliff and Wanderers and is a tremendously skilled footballer. In my opinion he is a better prospect than Liam Patrick and Shane Thorne, who are both similar age wise to Roberts. He has done some amazing things on the footy field and will definately impress with his skills if he is training with us. I heard last week while playing against Tiwi Bombers he had about 15 clearances and was best on ground despite his side losing by 60 points. There may be some doubts about his work ethic to make it at AFL level but I don't know the bloke personally.

Paul Scanlon mentioned in the article joined Bendigo Bombers this year and won their B & F, whilst Paul Newman is a young, early mid 20's, who play at Kyabram ( Lids, Lyon, Dick Clay, Kelly O'Donnel, Pettifer ) country , yes the last name is purposefully smaller.
Newman, although I haven't seen him play enough, would be regarded as the most dangerous forward in comp and possibly the most dangerous KPF the league has seen for a while, apparently good cricketer who unfortunately struggles with injuries !!
Kyabram is currently coached by David Williams !

did some homework to discover he was rookied by Melb in 2003, so he would be no stranger to CC, however when adopting the strategy of uncovering "hidden gems" not sure they where referring to rhelics of the past:eek:

Everyone knows we need talls and i'd be using our first two rookie picks on Tighe and Daw, if available. But if this kid can play, he can play. There are a few little blokes on our list who need replacing with genuine quality.

Maybe they see Nahas as a small backman.
Why would they?

Now here's the bloke I wanted to hear from. Cheers Jesus Damn Christ!

I'm not sure we should have more Ky than NT lokes on our list. Widening the net m'boy.

Is it just me or does his name sound like something Scooby doo would say?:D
I thought it made him sound like a Yaley.
