Remembering EJ "Ted" Whitten

It's hard to believe that today (17th August) marks 16 years since the great EJ Whitten passed away.

A legend of both the AFL and of the Footscray / Western Bulldogs FC

I love it how your club uses the EJ last game "You've got to inspire me speech" before your home games.

It still seems like yesterday when the Footy show came back from their ad break and Doug Hawkins who was on the panel that night was in tears on hearing that Ted had passed.

Thanks for the timely reminder C4E. EJ had a passion for the club and Victorian footy like no other. His mark & presence will be forever felt at Whitten Oval.
