Hi all,

Does anyone have any tips for removing labels from the front of video tapes? (or price tag stickers on DVD's etc)...

Often when I remove stickers from these types of items (especially from video tapes) I am left with an ugly white mess as they never come off cleanly.

There used to be a product called "De-solve-it" (or something similar) which worked perfectly, but I can't seem to find that in the shops.

Any help would be appreciated! :)

Don't you just hate it? Some stickers are made to remove easily, and some -

Mild solvent would be answer, I suppose - acetone (nail polish remover) is probably going to damage the case, but Windex (window cleaner) and a bit of scrubbing might do the trick. I'm not aware of any "specialist" products.

(You'd think the music/DVD stores could make a nice little earner out of selling bottles of sticker remover!)

Thanks for that advice! :thumbsu:

I think I'll use a splash of Windex when I try it next. But yeah, it's mega-annoying when the labels don't come off cleanly.

Yeah, I hate it as well.

One of the most annoying things that comes out of buying any new DVDs, audio CDs or computer games.

Sometimes when you have peeled the sticka off you can dab the sticka back onto the left over sticky residue and it will lift off the residue. You have to do this a fair few times. Doesn't work all the time.

Try the Late BIG KEV'S Goo Remover.

I would say that is not that good, hardly ever works for me.
