Mooney on Holland - Didnt think there was much in it to be honest, maybe a free kick but should get any weeks. Course im only saying this because we won, if we'd lost i'd want him suspended for years

Pickett - No way he should go for this but they always find something to hang him on so dont be suprised if he gets a couple.

Byron shouldn't even be sighted for that. It was contact as soon as the footy hit I think rooke's hands. Also in his favour, he had his hand up that made it look like an attempted spoil. Footy's a contact sport. Byron simply made him earn it.

I was at the game and regarding byrons hit I thought it was an awesome hit and got rooke just as he took the mark or at least a split second after.

However the tribunal has not exactly been easy on the charges, especially since Byron hardly had eyes for the ball (i'm pretty sure on that could be wrong, didn't see a replay).

Given his record he could easily land himself 3 weeks but hopefully he gets nothing.

That bump was fine
A free kick was awarded for the bump. That should be all we hear of it. Pickett has a background with big hits but this year he's made a big effort to adjust. He still gives a few bumps but he pulls up a bit before impact and makes it a softer bump. Basically he could have really cleaned a few people up the way he used to but he hasn't.
Its a bit of a shame really. I like the way the game protects the players head these days, but you cant evan bump a bloke in the side anymore a little late.

Pickett had eyes on the ball, his arm never hit the face, it was going for the spoil, contact was made at the time the ball came to the Geelong player and all contact was just by Pickett's strong chest. A lighter player would have bounced right off.

Mooney won't go (I reckon Dutchy acted a bit), and Pickett will be fine. Both would have been reported had they been bad enough as the umps were right on the scene.
