TDL plays well when he is the big fish in the small pond.

Well done today Swans Ressies, you will take some beating in 2 weeks time.

Canberra teams can match you for periods but find it difficult over the journey of a full match.

Yep, been named in the bests the last few games, pity it's finals or we could have seen him replace someone like Parker for a match and see how he goes.

I don't find it fair that we have listed players who miss out, that should have changed with the new comp
Trouble is that, if the Reserves put their best team on the paddock, then they'd have no-one in NSW/ACT who could be competitive with them.
I reckon it compromises the NEAFL to have such a strong team that is handicapped so heavily but, while footy is still developing in NSW/ACT, then there doesn't seem to be any viable alternative.

The ideal situation is to bring back the reserves competition but the AFL believes this to be too costly from what I've heard over the years.

Exactly Mick
What's even worse Bedford is that the guys who miss out just don't get a game for the weekend - that'd be tough.
And hard to get yourself back onto the page when they leave you out.
But I suppose that's the problem faced by any reserves team - someone has to miss out and has nowhere "lower" to go. Better to stay in the Ones isn't it ?

When we have too many listed players to fit into our reserves team we should offer them to other teams for the weekend but i geuss this would be an insurance issue or against the rules of the league. We wouldnt be able to play them in the desired position but at least they would be able to get game time.

Other teams would be reluctant to drop their players but some may have injury concerns and be eager to fill an opening in their team even if its only for a week.
