Bring in David Robinson for god's sake.
He's contributed so much to the NBA over his career and surely deserves a chance for viewers worldwide to have a farewell ala Jordan.

Karl Malone?

Karl Malone?
Who?

Karl, to my knowledge hasn't announced any plans of retirement. David has, and deserves a go. One of the greatest centres, and NBA players of all time. Why wouldn't he be considered?

Malone wants to retire at the same time as John Stockton, ie. this year.

The only way he will play on, is if he can get to Dallas or New Orleans. Both are highly unlikely.

Anyway, i think that Karl actually deserves to be in the all star team, on his merits.

Malone or Robinson? I'd take Robinson, hands down. But admittedly I'm biased.

Peja is in? HUH? What's the point of bringing in a shooter for a big guy?

Yep. Would love to see DRob there. Would love to see a vets team (Robinson, Malone, Stockton, Jordan etc) play the young bucks.

On this years form, Malone is clearly the better and more deserving option of the two.

So someone from the team with the 2nd best record is represented.

yep, thats it...

i thought e.brand would have been an idea replacement for c.webber....

someone from portland (r.wallace) would have been good too... but for stern, picking a player on their roster who wasnt a dopesmoker, rapist, wife-beater, DUI'er.. would have been quite a feat..

Stupid rule.
Someone such as Brand is more deserving, but if a King is required then Peja is probably the best choice, even though I can't see him getting much of a go.

I thought with Webber's injury it was a perfect opportunity to bring in the Admiral but I suppose you cant really play the All Star game without a participant from the team who many believe to be the championship favourites.

Malone was worthy as was Brand but Peja despite early season form turned it on in January and is as deserving as the next guy.

Finley still get's snubbed.

Peja has overcome a slow start to the season due to the foot injury sustained during world basketball championships in indianapolis. Lately he has been playing exceptional basketball and is getting close to his best. I was lucky to run into Peja in Belgrade late last year and caught up for a caffee with him and my cousin. Even throught the world championships he was troubled by bone bruising in his foot. he saw a specialist in Belgrade and he recomemded rest which seems to have done the trick;)

Hope Peja burns the floor at the All-Star games and uses his sweet 3 pt shooting to kill of the east team:D
