'Wildcats' is such an over-rated name. (Thats when they verse us..)

Jeeze 34.22, we are still down on accuracy though. And good on Jack for kicking 4 goals! :)

Well I don't understand how P. NEIBERDING can kick both their goals and not make the best players list?
Was there morning tea served or a movie shown during last quarter and he kept on playing... or should we be signing him up?

Those results aren't accurate, we had more goal kickers than that. 14 goals are unaccounted for.

I watched the game (well, from just before 1/4 time siren, after we got lost a bit on the way). Didn't take detailed notes so can't tell you all the goal kickers but pretty sure Thornton snared at least 3 - maybe more. Would have guessed Laidlaw kicked more than 2 too.

Pretty sure Voges got at least a couple and I think Barlow at least one too (It's hard to tell those two apart since Barlow had his hair cut).

If Doyle kicked two, they must have both been in the first quarter and then he must have injured himself because I didn't see him out there at all.

I didn't think the Swannnies actually played that well. It was pretty scrappy at times and as the game wore on, they started messing around with the ball a bit. Wildcats were absolutely dreadful. They had two behinds on the board when I turned up, and still had just those two points at 3/4 time. One of their goals came from a good tackle and HTB decision in front of goal and the other came from a mark. They had a couple of other chances that they butchered but really they just let the Swans do as they chose.

liz's post indicates the real problem for our reserves. Generally the opposition isn't of the same class and the potential for our players to fall into bad habits is significant.
Longmire said the other day that the advantage, of having a dedicated reserves team, is that they can try players in different positions and give specific tasks to players, but the problem with that is that the step up from the ACT league to AFL is so great that it is very difficult to judge performances and I wonder if that is why Roos seems to have an established pecking order when it comes to bringing players into the firsts.
