It's fair to say we havn't really had a backline that has had the respect of the competition for a long time, ranking wise we have certainly always been bottom dwellers.
Can't help but think we are starting to build a defense that resembles something that could be considered solid very soon. This is where the turning point for success has to come from, and at last I think we might have the right blokes for the job.
We have three solid defenders that are willing to make "stopping" the main priority ahead of racking up dream team points. We also now have the right mix of runners around them who can actually deliver the pill.

I think that back 6-7 can become the concrete defense to take us forward, just as the Geelong defense turned it around for their footy club.
The three in bold must be commended on their attack in aerial contests of late, even in last weeks drubbing they were making it very difficult for the tall timber, who in today's game should be dominating.
