Just finished the mock draft after a very long week :p

Pick 8- Tyrone Vickery - Pleasantly surprised Tyrone is still available and the Tigers snapped him up immediately. Arguably the best ruckmen in the draft and standing at 200cms, providing excellent tap-work, good skills, great over-head mark and can kick goals, the decision was an easy one. The perfect replacement for Simmonds in 3 years time.

Pick 26- Tom Lynch - Comes from Sandringam Dragons. Has the ability to play at both ends of the ground, takes a strong mark and has good pace. Has a fantastic work rate and that leads to a high possesion count for a big man. Likes to bring others into the games with his assists. Had a knee reco last year, which has brough his stocks down, as some touted him a top 10 pick.

Pick 42- Luke Shuey (note: this pick was meant to be Mitch Banner but he was gifted to the Swans :(). Luke is a solidly built 185cm midfielder from the Oakleigh Chargers. Always gets good numbers and is good around the stoppages. Reads the play well and should be a valuable asset to the Tigers talented midfield.

Pick 58- Mitch Brown - Dominated school footy. CHF. Was stoked he was still available.

Pick 74- Robin Nahas- From Port Melbourne. Clever little forward pocket that kicks goals and sets them up.

Pick 90- Aaron Killian -

He's from St Michaels/Woodville West Torrens South Australia.

Said to be between 198-201cm, ruckman/forward.

High school athletics champion in high jump and sprinting.

Was expected to be the biggest thing to come out of SA junior footy in 2007 before major injury struck him down.
In 2007, played U19s as an U17.
In 2008, still qualified for U17 and only played U17s.

This guy could be the steal of the draft.

What you think? I was a little bit disappointed but oh well.

have been screaming for this kid for the last few years. Super quick, super smart. Lightly framed but would love to see him hovering in our FL to see if he can up the ante in the big time. ;)

For someone who admittedly has no clue about the kids outside the top 30 who are talked about on the T&D board I would be rather happy with an outcome like that from the draft. If we were to snare 4 talls and a couple of smaller midfield/hff types you would think it would just about sees the holes on the list covered.

If we're gonna get a small forward pocket, I'd prefer Chris Hall to Nahas. Younger and more potential, although very light.

And where did Paul Cahill go?
Wouldn't mind him with our 3rd rounder (or maybe even 2nd)
Another key forward, good skills, good pace, good mark!

Vickery is the man I wanted :). Tom Lynch is an O.K pick. Would have got Chris Hall instead of Luke Shuey. Instead of Robin Nahas would have gone Sibosado cause I don't think he got picked up in that draft? Killian sounds like he worth taking a punt on......

Richmond a very very keen on this kid. But they'll have to fight off a couple of other clubs

Hey Cotch, just a couple of questions:
In this Mock draft we get Vickery, but in the one you did on the T&D board you gave us Trengrove, why?

Have you done/participated in more than one mock?

Would like to see the rest of this mock if possible.

Based on want, I'd rather Trengove.

Since the draft is about need, I chose Vickery.

In my phantom draft, im just trying to push for us to get Trengove.

That was the first mock ive particapated in this year.

they should have been very very keen on him a couple of years back. The one thing the tigers have lacked big time, is a smart, crumbing, super quick, goal sneak and he is and has been just that. ;)

There is talk we are interested in this years Sandover medalist Hayden Ballantyne from Peel Thunder.A nippy fwd/pocket.

If the rumours are true, then I'm really happy the clubs thinking outside the square.

Ballantynes a very good player.

Considering the fp is a later pick, probably a good idea to have options in case someone else grabs who we want.

Also, isn't Collard a FP?
There is still a huge question mark on Collard.Collard will stay as a rookie next year.

Charlie Sharples from Sturt is another very exciting young forward. Very quick, great tackler, good skills, Aboriginal flair. Apparently the Hawks thought about rookie-ing him last year but he wasn't fit so they went for Stokes instead. Adelaide people say if he was on their list this year he would have got games ahead of the likes of Jacky. 19 y/o and played for the SANFL against the VFL and from the highlights I saw on youtube looks a great prospect.

Anyone interested in Neville Jetta? An aboriginal FP, with great defensive pressure.
If around with our third round pick, Id have a good look, but pick 32 (our 2nd) is probably a bit too high for someone who will take time in a role that isn't that important.
We still have Edwards and White crumbing, and Browny doing everything, so I wouldn't have thought we were that desperate...
