We have had more than our fair share of injuries and some off field problems this year, but over the course of what is it? 6 years, i guess we can call it a journey of sorts , have a fair amount of players improved and developed? it would be fair to say yes. have some just gotten older? well that is just part of what happens at a football club as time goes by. now the real question . Have we gotten better as a team? before you answer that question how will you judge this question to make a fair comment? i guess you would say ultimately premierships but as some people will always point out only 1 team every year can win one.... we have not won any, so the next best way to judge if your team has improved collectively would be?????? finals apearances ?

if we were to judge the last six years taking ALL of these things into consideration how would you rate our club?
lets say from a scale of 1 to 10 and i guess the reasons why .

 

[The Night Shift]

Our stocks have certainly risen quite a bit. Before CC we were rubble and discribed as a basket case on & off the field [ and quite rightly]. We were the laughing stock, the easy beats, and just generally hated by all. We have made massive improvements in all areas and established ourselves alot more in the last 6 years... As Connolly put it once, we've done the hard yards now and trudged though the pioneer years of the club and created a foundation on which to build.
Off field we are doing very well. Good membership and sponsorship and well supported. We are not in debt, posting very good profits and we have a settled board that all moves in the same direction. Lots of other clubs don't have that [ Roos, carlton, Tigers ]at all so we are travelling well in that area.
Sure we are all dissapointed in the Football Department area, but at least we've improved and can have even attracted "big" names to sign for the club in recent times.
I guess we'll only ever be truely happy when we hoist that maiden premiership trophey. A Brownlow winner or coleman winner would be nice as well.
Considering we have still foundation squad players still playing for us we are still are very young club in the scheme of things.
How long did it take for North Melbourne to win there first premiership
