Rhodes was ripped off. In his 2 years he won about 5 games each season, but in most games the bulldogs were competitive and they should have won up to 10 games a season. They lost many close games due to shocking kicking for goal. It's a pretty poor effort to sack him, he was not that bad a coach. I don't see Eade as being better. If They win more than 5 games it's because they kicked straighter than the previous 2 seasons. I'm sure Bulldogs fans will agree with me
 
The real person ripped off was Danny Frawley, here was a guy with brilliant tactics but his players continuously kicked poorly all over the ground. If the players had been able to hit a target, Richmond would have won the flag last year. Im sure Richmond fans will agree with me.
 
Obviously this idiot wants us to bite. Let's not give him the satisfaction. Let's just show them how to play football.

Yep they have already suffered, they have had one of the(if not the hardest) pre season, and they are already seeing the rewards, by becoming a whole lot fitter and being able to run games out, take notice on sunday.
 
I guess we will find out this wekend if Eade is better than Rhode.

The Bulldogs couldn't beat Richmond with Rhode, but if we win this weekend I suppose Eade will be better!

Jacob Rhodes drafted to the dogs in 1996 at pick 44. Interestingly we picked up Monty 3 picks later.

"Jonty" as he was predictably dubbed, broke his leg whilst with us if i remember correctly, and was delisted after just one season.

Refreshing to see a thread on somebody that hasn't been discussed on this board heaps before.
 
I was hoping this thread was about the Collosus of Rhodes and some interesting discusson about ancient history.

On that subject, I always went for Carthage - Hannibal's surprise attacks with elephants sure gave the Romans something to think about.

The Colossus of Whiiten Oval is obviously Danny Delre.

However if it was ever decided that a Colossus of Rhodes type statue should ever adorn Australian popular culture I would propose that we have it strategically placed at the entrance to Sydney Harbour. This giant statue (which should stll be of Danny Delre) would stand glorious above this world noted waterway with one leg planted firmly in south head and the other in north head. Should ever an island sprout from the sea, in between, then we could call that ******** (Richard) Head.

Not a lot of people know about the old Fender Rhodes. My lord, Leo Fender was one hell of a man. Good to see a such a unique topic being discussed here on the Bulldog board.
