Cole is a huge disappointment & belongs at your miserable club with camporeale , justin murphy, matty allen, mal Michael...lol no wonder you guys are rabble!

I'll give you Allan, Murphy and maybe Campo (even though we got them for nothing), but you can't say you wouldn't have Michael lining up for the Pies again. Especially when James Clement, your most creative player, who mind you is roughly the same age, has to take on the gun forwards.

Matty Allan had a great year till he became injured. Murphy had a very good debut season with us also, Im sure the Pies would have looked at Michael if it became common knowledge he wanted to continue elsewhere. We havent really seen enough of Campo in our colours to pass judgement. NFI !!

HmmI dont think so!! If you had a clue you would realise that Clement doesnt play on Key strong marking Forwards. We have one of the best in the business called Presti & wakelin or even Maxwell.

But I am sure you will get see what I am talking about on Anzac day!:rolleyes:

Thomas has had one good season so i think it is a bit early to judge how good he is going to be.

wakelin is past it
maxwell is a skinny kid

if my memory serves me correctly the pies traded big mal for molloy. how's he going these days???

also, i can't believe the amount of heat mal is copping. it was only last year that every "footy expert" would say,"mal michael deserves to be an all australian." It seems he now has no skill what soever????

Other teams are just pissed off that we got big mal and now along with Fletch, Lovett-Murray, McPhee, McVeigh and Slattery have one of the best back lines in the league (far better than the Pies backline).

I was actually more harsh on him when he was at Collingwood. Thank god I dont have to see turn over after turn over from the girl!

We don't get to see it that much either. See, here at Essendon, a quality side, Cole is just a back up, someone who won't play every game. Maybe at Collingwood, you were looking for him to save an ailing backline, but not here. Here he is a backup to MM, Fletcher, NLM, Mcphee and Welsh, 5 playeres you would love to have I'd bet!

u do realise that Cole was running around at willi unable to get a game in a team that finished 15th when he was with us.....then he moved to the dons and it was the same story

NLM was also not deemed good enough to get a game with us, he was a rookie on our list and played at willi before moving to the dons

All it shows is that players' form can fluctuate, there aren't many harder jobs than being a recruiter. I'm happy with the Cole trade, he's good enough to play senior football and very worthwhile for depth.

guess it was one of those rare win-win trades

he had clearly lost his way at the woods, hopefully he can recapture his 04 form

and he looks fine in that photo, just scruffy but who rarely cares bout that
