Take a bow! you are just what the doctor ordered..

My BOG tonight, laid 8 tackles in 1 qtr.

Brilliant.

Let's just hope he stays on the field in 2010.

I'm big wraps for this guy.

He's very ballzy and has a great temperament for an in and under type player {even when getting his eyes gouged }
The thing that Hadley brings to the mid-field is an old fashioned hardness directed straight at the ball, not at any opposing player. And, wasn't it great to see Judd doing amazing things around the fringe of the pack now that Hadley is in there doing the dogs' body work, winning the hard ball.

was absolutely fantastic.. and you're right - he is exactly the type of player we needed. has it all over bentick

I hope he stays on the field in 2009 first, then i will worry about 2010.

Hadley play a great game last night, in and under and his tackling was brilliant, a real bonus for us.

missed a couple of targets by foot which cost us, but generally great. Definately does not shirk the issue

That's what you get with Hadley though, he's a tough in and under player but just struggles to hit targets at times.

Great game though. :thumbsu:

said it in another thread but meh

Every time the pack got up for a bounce, Hadley was on the bottom. The big thing about his game was how he freed up Judd

I've been saying this for a bloody long time now, but Hadley is underrated by many Carlton supporters who question whether or not he is in our best 22.

The ONLY thing stopping Hadley from playing for the Blues every single week is his own health. He has been absolutely killed by injuries over the years so hopefully he is over them and we can see him in the seniors for a full season, because he is easily in our best 22.

He just adds something else to the team. Most of our midfield is tough - Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, Grigg, even Simpson. But Hadley is more than tough. He's tough to the point that he'll throw his body at the man and at the footy without even thinking twice. Much like Mitch, but more experienced and doesn't look like he'll be killed every time he goes for the ball. Make no mistake, Hadley is an absolute mungrel at the ball and at the man, and I love it.

If fit he'll make it a hell of a lot easier for our other midfielders who can assume their natural roles with Hadley finding the ball and dishing it out of a pack.

Gun.

Great work from our friend Wayne Hughes:thumbsu:

Very hard to see much around the contest watching the game from a kilometre away, but he won me over on his preseason form, and it was more of the same tonight.

Very, very valuable player when fit. :thumbsu:

I was watching from about where you were aswell. However, when I did get home, I watched the replay, and he was awesome

Fitness and longevity seem the only thing keeping Bentick on this list beyond this year.
If Hadley can play 22 games fit then you'd think there is no room for AB in our side. Probably worth keeping on the list as a depth player.

He isn't the only one who should be concerned.

We need to fit in Stevens and Walker........and a young bloke called Yarran might want a game soon.

Yarran I can see some in for Garlett.

Joseph out for Walker when fit.

Stevens for?

Not to mention Carrazzo, Armfield and Browne.

DEPTH.

Gotta love it.:thumbsu:

The depth is all in the running players though. The KP depth is basically Austin and Setanta.

I wonder how long we'll keep all of Fev, Cloke, Thronton, Bower, Waite and Jamison on the park at the same time for.
