I thought Richard Tambling's game was great on the weekend.

His 19 disposals, one contested mark, eight uncontested marks were all earned by putting his body on the line.

He is starting to lead a lot better and take the opposition on.

Great game Tambling

Carn the mighty macorna tigers

Apart from the bouncing ball stuff-up he was very good. He directly set up four goals and had a hand in another in the first half. Consistency is obviously the key now. :thumbsu:

Tambling is the future, and going by last Friday, he is the here and now.

He is starting to put it all together and showing why those with judgement and patience have not wavered in their support of the lad. Sure, he may continue to have ups and downs, but the graph will continue to show improvement.

Tambo has stood up at a time when some of the senior players have dropped off, which is all the more pleasing and a sign that the skillful and able 'next gen' are assuming responsibility. This is why our performances are down so far, but why we will be better off for it next year.

that really pissed me off. not that he did that, it happens, its not a trait that he will display often, but for the fact that the commentators continued to say that although he had been getting the ball, he wasn't using it as well as he should. one mistake that could quite easily be argued has nothing to do with skills.
dumba$$es

very good first half went missing a bit in the second half.personally would have prefered him to be a bit quite when we are winning and standing up when the chips are down. perhaps hes picking up the bowdens and pettifers and gaspars and richos and krakouers traits.

It was a great step in the right direction for him. I hope he can back it up this week against a team full of fast running, ball carriers. Guys like Lids, Foley and Tambo are crucial if we're to give it a nudge on Friday night.

I get the feeling it was partly because he was quite that we fell apart. He was very creative on that HFF in the first half and set up 5 goals. It was kind of like the week before when lids really got going in the third and we looked good.

In some ways its a good sign, but in others it shows a lack of creativity from senior blokes. We really need browny back.

Great 1st half.:thumbsu:
Has shown he can play which is both a big relief and extremely exciting.
Now we need the consistency but that should come with age and experience.

Feeling much better about him as a long term proposition.

He was benched and then played in the forward pocket for nearly the rest of the game though. Maybe TW is to blame?
