I was in a bit of a daze driving to work this morning but did i hear Sheeds say on SEN that we had the option of giving Bolton or Richards to Sydney for pick 15 (or whatever the pick was that we got Dempsey with)?

It was Pick 19 and I didn't hear it.
It doesn't sound likely give Ted wanted to go and Sydney was where he wanted to go to.
Bolts was going to be part of the Campo trade with Carlton, but in the end wouldn't leave and stood by his contract, meaning the trade fell through.

Yeah thats fair enough.
Andrew Maher asked Sheeds if it was a mistake to let Richards go to Sydney considering that he has played most games in a pretty successful team.
Sheeds, as he does, said maybe it was an error but Boltons been a pretty good player for us, etc, etc.
He then said that they looked at Bolton and Richards and said that if Jobe comes on well we'd need a quick outside runninmg player that Jobe could feed it out to and the best availble player at pick 19 was Dempsey.
He didn't really mention whether Sydney wanted Bolton....but if Richards wanted to leave i guess we just tried to satisfy all parties.

Hey, it was worth watching his pathetic career just for that bump on Cam Cloke a couple of years. Okay, maybe it wasnt, but still a quality moment
