Good outcome. Richards was worth about a second rounder so we're getting rid of Campo for a second rounder.

We make room in the salary cap, lose a selfish player and pick up a player that is quite versitile and could help fix our defence problems.

pretty happy with this.

campo was finished in imo.

Richard's shows a bit and could come on even more.

woohoo i thnk richards is underated and is one of the things we need....wen is it going to go ahead?

If we pull off this piece of daylight robbery, I would be rapt
as long as it is a straight swap and we don't throw in a 3rd or 4th round draft.

lets face campo like j.murphy will be ok for the don's for a season or 2 but we could possibly win out big time on this one.

it may be a big win, but the bomers hand has been forced and I dont look forward to the time when the shoe is on the other foot, which it seems will only be a matter of time for all clubs

I would be very disappointed if this came to pass.

Richards is absolutely hopeless. I have seen nothing special come from a bloke who can't even crack a bottom-four outfit. What makes you think he'll help us out in our current position? In all likelihood he will just become another Chambers, Longmuir, Wiggins, Sporn, Bannister etc. WE DON'T NEED ANYMORE!!!

I would instead prefer to take a chance with a draft pick. If this trade occurs Richards will instantly become my most hated Carlton player.

Richard is ********e he played a few half decent games at the end of the season. Apart from that he probably would have been delisted. We dont need any more fringe players go for a draft pick

We are getting a young promising key position player for a 30 year old veteren who is past his prime and we are not giving away draft picks.

How many of those possessions were useful and weren't cheap 15m kicks along the half back line?

Exactly DM. I've lost count of how many times i've seen Campo running behind the player who is possession of the ball for an easy kick!!

Essendon are threatening to take Campo in the pre-season draft.

If that situation occurs (it won't, it's just a negotiating tactic,) I hope Carlton doesn't take Campo at 1 in the PSD to spite Campo and Essendon.

reported in the age today that the bombers want our pick 20 as well as campo.

******** them.

let the little germ nominate for the PSD.

What's Richards worth anyway....is he any better than Prendergast...ie. would he be playing the tall dud role or actually be a target. Could Richard play across half back?

He's a Sean Wellman-type running CHB (not as good, though), or a third tall forward.

Richards has been unbelievabley overrated during this week. Didn't he manged just 4 games this year in a pathetic team? If we can get him in a straight swap for campo then its probably worth a go seeing as we're losing campo anyway, but if they want a draft pick as well that would be stupidity.

Played the last six straight, and the team was significantly less pathetic than yours.

Tall defenders with Richard's potential are fairly rare at trade time these days, hence all the interest.

Sheedy has a history of dropping the young guys, instead of dropping the real problems within the team.
