walking back to the car from the game last night, wasnt impressed with the way we played, but a wins a win so i was atleast a little bit happy.

however it was the sight of about 8 kids aged 5 - 7 with their arms around each others shoulders all singing i wanna be a richo man.

brought a smile to my face, but then i thought to myself when richo retires its never going to be the same.

its moments like those why i come to the footy

MUST have been eavesdropping in on my pre-game conversation I was having with a few guys. Said exactly the same thing, a sad, sad day when #12 is no longer there!!
Will be like losing a family member or your family pet!

I was thinking about this the other day. I hope Richo has a fat back ended contract, cause god knows the club owes him more than anyone. Single handedly carried the Tiges on his shoulders over the last decade - many would have considered throwing it in were it not for the great man. Great to see he's finally getting the accolades.

I was saying the same thing last week to a mate. Our drafting history might be a bit patchy so why don't we try our hand and breeding! Go out and find 22 talented female types and lock them in a room with Richo and away we go!
I really hope the AFL allow something special for his last game, unanimous respect from all corners for a true gentleman and an absolute champion of the game.
