Yeah you're right, he's running as well as he always does.

We have suffered multiple injuries - But a 2 week injury should have no impact on your performance.

His role at Geelong was the same. We have 3 full time strength and conditioning coaches, a strength and fitness scientist, with Robinson overseeing it.

I was actually one of the few skeptics when he came on board but don't agree with the way he has been made a scapegoat.

Let's give him a bit of time. Pretty sure he said it would be at least a year before we start seeing the real results.

If we don't get results next year maybe the focus should be on drafting kids that are durable, as opposed to using the fitness guys as scapegoats for not being able to turn injury prone footballers into injury free footballers.

I am like you and was sceptical about Robinson waving a magic wand. I agree about endurance - Dont think there is a great deal of difference in endurance levels between clubs - It's more the conditioning/maintenance where there can be significant differences between clubs.

Obviously the program has gone wrong BIG TIME - But at the end of the day -EFC fired Joe Cormack because he wouldn't agree to the program suggested by the TRB - And Robinson implemented the program laid down by EFC.

I haven't yet read through this thread, but just wanted to say:

1. I was drunk before I entered the MCG halfway through the first quarter.
2. I continued to drink at the game.
3. I don't remember much of the game.
4. There was some good karaoke at the end of the match with some song about bees and their colours.
5. I continued drinking after the game.
6. Carlton lost to GC.

Having now read the thread, general consensus appears to be that:

1. Fitness program and related injuries have derailed our season
2. Robinson should not be judged till the program has ended
3. The players have a proportionately lower capacity to run out matches and compete in terms of leading and spreading when compared to opposition teams
4. The aforementioned has detrimentally impacted our boys' mental fortitude/stamina, at least to a minor extent
5. We are all intensely upset at the results in second half of the season
6. We are looking forward to 2013 once the boys develop the running capacity to match their increased bulk
7. We are ALL heading to the 'G on Saturday night to cheer the boys on one last time this season as we condemn the Pies to miss top 4:thumbsu:
