Wondering to hear any opinions on who is the worst player ever to don the yellow and black.

Often at this time of the year one asks this question, and I'm sure there must be some challengers in the currect side.

A popular choice in those halcyon days of the late 80's was one Michael Laffy.

Quotes aimed at this champion included "you couldn't get a touch at the mardi gras" or at a typical Essendon- Richmond debacle "I wish I could find a toilet paper as soft".

Any suggestions on who should hold the inaugral Larundel Award???

Ironic thing is when writing this I had to exercise the old grey matter to try and remember whether Laffy's name was Richard or Michael. Think Lounder "played" in those same glorious sides of '87 and '89???

Pretty hard to pick after all the duds we've had over the past decade or so, but have to agree with Laffy and Lounder.

Terry Keays could stand on a blokes shoulders but that was it ..... scum reject , another great swap for our number one draft pick if my memory serves me correctly ?

I reckon a good thread would be the most ridiculous recruiting decisions made since the inception of the draft

CJH, Adam Slater kicked a bag of goals for East Burwood a couple of weeks ago. Someone was probably swinging his leg for him.

I've posted this before, I was at a game where we were getting flogged and a dog ran onto the field. A bloke in front of me was screaming his head off at the Richmond bench to leave the dog on and take Laffy off.

Working with more tools here than all the Bunnings' outlets put together, so I couldn't help but think of Laffy.

Great call, CJ ... Slater was the brunt of many a hearty guffaw in the outer.

Matthew Francis was a shocker, but redeemed himself to a certain extent by plying his incompetence at Collingwood after his woeful stint at Tigerland.

And though he was a Premiership player, Greg Strachan was always my prototype nuffie.

I got up someones nose the other day by suggesting we should have traded him a couple of years ago but I stand by that although I wouldnt want him under the category of ******* as it takes a pretty good player to do the jobs that he has done and we have been better with him overall.

Ive spent so much effort in purging the memories of these players that have taken the field for us that Its a struggle to remember them.

Who was that former Adelaide premiership player that we got that tried a checkside directly in front of goals. That act alone makes him deserving of this thread.

leper ol son this is the 21 st century we dont call players "*******s" they're duds or for want of a better description a potential Richmond player......nevertheless I'l join in the fun and frivolity......

Laffy was definitely *the* worst I can remember.

Those bagging D Kellaway should take a good hard look. Not the most skillful, but one of the 3 toughest richmond players in the last 20 years.

Thanks mate. Ill always remember the reaction in the crowd after that one. We thought we had seen it all until then.

I used to be good at reeling off our duds. Had a Collingwood supporter reel of a whole lot of thier duds to me a couple of years ago and when it came my turn i just found that I had a complete mental block over the hundreds that we have had grace the field for us.
